He worked as a "Technicolor" color consultant for 30 years in motion
pictures.
In 1938-1939 he was the color consultant of the motion picture, "Gone
With The Wind." While on the set he had the leading stars sign their
autographs in a GWTW novel he had just purchased for his fiancé,
Margery Crampton.
