- On the set of her first film, the Sindhi film "Abana" (1958), in which she had a supporting role, she asked the film's star, Sheila Ramani for an autograph. Ramani scribbled, "One day, I'll come and ask you for your autograph." She was the first who recognized Sadhana's star potential.
- Her hairstyle --with the short Audrey Hepburn-inspired fringe/bangs-- was a trend-setter and is known as the "Sadhana cut" in India.
- She did several films with director Raj Khosla: "Ek Musafir Ek Hasina (1962), "Woh Kaun Thi" (1964), "Mera Saaya" (1966), "Anita" (1967), and an uncompleted film co-starring Dev Anand, titled "Sajan ki Galiyan."
- Sadhana was highest paid actress along-with Vyjanthimala from 1963-67 and Sadhana with Nanda was 2nd highest paid Hindi actress from 1961-1962 and 3rd highest paid Hindi actress in 1969-1973 along-with Nanda.
- She doesn't attend funerals, because she hates them. However, when her Waqt (1965) director Yash Chopra died, she visited his widow privately. She did the same, when her Dil Daulat Duniya (1972) leading man Rajesh Khanna died, by visiting his widow Dimple Kapadia.
- Her frequent director Raj Khosla planned on casting Sadhana and her favorite actress Nutan in a film, but it didn't happen. Years later, it was made with Rakhee Gulzar and Rekha playing sisters in Baseraa (1981).
- In 2014, she made a rare public appearance by walking the ramp in a beautiful pink sari at a fashion show to support the cause for cancer and AIDS patients. Her relative, actor Ranbir Kapoor, escorted her. (Sadhana's cousin Babita is married to Randhir Kapoor, whose brother Rishi, is Ranbir's father.).
- Acted with Guru Dutt in the film "Picnic" which was left incomplete due to Dutt's untimely death in 1964.

- From 1959 to 1974, she acted as the heroine in 33 films.Of these 28 were blockbusters and only 5 flops. Earlier before 1960 she had acted in 5 films as child artiste .
- With her first starring role Love in Simla (1960), Sadhana was bound by a three-year contract to the studio Filmalaya. The first year she was paid 750 rupees a month, the second year 1500 rupees a month, and the final year 3000 rupees a month. Once the contract ended, Sadhana commanded top money for her films.
- Her Mere Mehboob (1963) director Harnam Singh Rawail shot around her, since she was busy with her other films. He waited for her for 8 months, until she was free to shoot her scenes. When the film became a blockbuster, he decided to cast her again in Sunghursh (1968), but Sadhana told him to cast another actress, since she wasn't going to be available for a few months, because of her health problems. He said he would wait for her while she got treated for her thyroid problem. Five days later, she read a huge advertisement about how Vyjayanthimala got the role. Sadhana was devastated and she never spoke to Rawail again.
- She became related to the famous Kapoor family, when her cousin Babita Kapoor married Randhir Kapoor. Sadhana's leading men included the three Kapoor brothers: Raj Kapoor(Randhir's father); Shammi Kapoor, and Shashi Kapoor.
- Her cousin Babita Kapoor's daughters are actresses Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Kareena married actor Saif Ali Khan, son of actress Sharmila Tagore. Sadhana and Sharmila worked together many years earlier in the blockbuster Waqt (1965).
- Sadhana regarded that each of the 27 blockbusters she had as her favorites. She did 33 films as lead heroine and 27 of them were blockbusters and only 7 were flops. She had acted in 4 films as child artiste.
- She did one Oriya film titled "Stree" that was released in 1968 and became a commercial success.
- She was supposed to have re-teamed with her Dulha Dulhan (1964) leading man Raj Kapoor in another film titled Around the World (1967), but the producers dropped her in favor of actress Rajshree when word spread about Sadhana's thyroid problem.
- She regarded Devanand, Rajesh Khanna, Manoj Kumar and Rajendra Kumar as her favourite co-stars. Rajendra Kumar even produced Aap Aaye Bahar Aayee with her as his lead heroine.
- Elder sister Sarla was once married to man named Bhagwan Thadani who wanted to become a actor . The stories doing the rounds was he married Sarla only with the hopes that Sadhana would promote and launch him in films. She flat out refused causing Sarla to get divorced .
- Sadhana was to turn director with the film "The Hotel" in 1971. Music was by Shankar Jaikishen. The film got shelved.
- Personal stuff like letters ,notes and photographs were found with a scrap dealer in 2018.Film Heritage Foundation an NGO later claimed the stuff.
- Regarded as one of the finest and iconic actresses of the golden age of Hindi Cinema, Sadhana was noted for her exquisite beauty, understated acting and trend-setting fashion statements.
- Popularly known as "The Mystery Girl" for her stint as the "mysterious woman" in the suspense thriller trilogy films directed by Raj Khosla during the mid 1960s, Sadhana was ranked among the highest-paid actresses in the country from mid-1960s to early 1970s.
- She suffered from eye problems due to hyperthyroidism. After her retirement from acting, she refused to be photographed.
- She had undergone an emergency surgery due to a bleeding oral lesion in December 2014 at the K J Somaiya Medical College.
- Sadhana was cremated at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Bollywood stars such Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Madhur Bhandarkar, Lata Mangeshkar and several others expressed their sorrow at the loss.
- Sadhana had health issues due to her thyroid, which she got treated in Boston.
