After an appearance in the television series Father Brown, she received no offers for roles and had to keep herself from now on with various activities (including as a cleaning lady).

After two failed marriages, Christiane Nielsen married in 1963 the Algerian greengrocer Miloud Ganga, whom she had met in Munich in 1961. She retired from the film business and moved to Oran, where she set up a bar with him.

Christiane Nielsen married twice the Munich bar owner Konrad Leeb.

She had two daughters with Miloud Ganga: Alia (* 1964) and Myriam (* 1965).

Worked as a dental assistant before becoming an actress.
