When a humanoid sea creature washes up in Terry’s bleak life they quickly develop feelings for each other – But can Man love Fish, and will Terry’s older criminal brother get his hands on the creature before Terry can decide how he feels?
Ever wondered what it would look like if Troma shot a British movie at Canvey Island? Wonder no more as Manfish would definitely be the result… and I mean that in the most complimentary way. You see Manfish embodies the spirit of the low-budget, independent, more ideas than money, style of filmmaking that Troma is synonymous with. Though ion this was made by Americans I doubt the finished product would be quite as sweet-natured as Marc Coleman’s film; because Manfish is Incredibly sweet-natured.

Kick-Off: 14:00
Sunderland look to continue their impressive form in cup competitions this season in the Fa Cup, this time against near neighbours Carlisle United at The Stadium of Light.
Former Sunderland Graham Kavanagh brings his League One side to face the Premier League basement side, looking to become the latest side to pull off a famous Fa Cup third round upset.
Gus Poyet has called on his side to produce a professional performance on Sunday as they look to reach the fourth round of the world’s oldest cup competition.
“It’s the game of the season for Carlisle so far, What an opportunity for them.
“I want to see my team be professional and do the right things. It’s up to the players on the pitch.”

Review Louisa Mellor Dec 18, 2012
Mark’s eye wanders and Jez continues to be the world’s worst life coach in this week’s Peep Show…
This review contains spoilers.
8.4 Big Mad Andy
A loud hurrah for the return of writer Simon Blackwell, the only safe pair of hands to which to entrust an episode of Peep Show not led by regular writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. Blackwell’s repertoire includes some of the show’s finest, including the episode in which Super Hans accidentally ran to Windsor, series six’s walking tour instalment, and the series five ep that, were Peep Show to go by Friends-style appellations, would be called ‘The One With Gunny’.
A hesitant blokey handshake to Andy the carpenter too (Liam Noble), to whom the five years between this and his series three appearance have not been kind. Back then, Andy was just a workshy chippy...

Irish singer-songwriter Christine Tobin debuted some of this impressive WB Yeats-devoted material from Sailing to Byzantium at the London jazz festival last November. Her ethereal sound and patient unfolding of melody breathed new life into classics such as When You Are Old, The Wild Swans at Coole and The Second Coming. Phil Robson's guitar accompaniment and imaginative arrangements featuring cellist Kate Shortt brought a succession of quiet surprises. The studio version adds even more – not least the sober, mellifluous tones of the Irish actor Gabriel Byrne (a former schoolteacher of Tobin's) on three readings, and a significant role for the brilliant jazz flautist Gareth Lockrane. Tobin glides delicately through a rich tapestry woven by Robson, Shortt and Liam Noble's piano on The Wild Swans at Coole. The Second Coming finds Tobin leaping dramatically beyond her regular range amid free-jazz forays. Her centre-stage recital of the title...

Bitter former Sunderland striker Liam Noble has launched a sensational attack on the Black Cats, branding them a ‘s*** club with s*** fans’.
The 20-year-old made the comments on Twitter following his release from the Barclays Premier League club earlier this year.
Noble, a Newcastle United fan who graduated from Ged NcNamee’s academy and became a regular reserve player three years ago, was unable to break into the first team under Martin O’Neill or previous manager Steve Bruce, despite a recent shortage of striking options. He was top scorer for the reserves but even when Sunderland had no forward options due to injuries and lack of numbers, both managers consistently preferred moving senior players around to unfamiliar positions, including lumping Kieran Richardson up front instead of giving a chance to Noble.
In January, Noble realised he was never going to get the call-up to play for the full...
