If you haven't heard, Square Enix's latest game, Murdered: Soul Suspect, stars Ronan O'Connor, a detective who for unknown reasons inherits supernatural powers after his death, which are to aid him in hunting down the man who killed him, nicknamed the Bell Killer. The newest trailer revolves around said Bell Killer, but if you haven't seen the game in action, do yourself a favor and scroll down to view the E3 presentation from 2013 to see it a bit more in depth.
The game looks like L.A. Noire mixed with some Alan Wake type supernatural elements, and that is too fantastic a combination to not be excited. I love the idea of putting together clues and facts to form a case, or in this instance, to figure out whom you were murdered by and why. The game releases in early June of this year, but in the meantime, take a...

I kind of have to wonder if Airtight Games, the Seattle-based devs behind "Murdered: Soul Suspect," are feeling a bit cranky that R.I.P.D. -- the Robert Schwentke flop about Ryan Reynolds and the Dude being ghost cops -- not only beat them the premise, but also spawned a videogame of the same name.
Taking solace in the fact that neither versions of R.I.P.D. well particularly well-received, Airtight has released a new Gamescom trailer for "Murdered," which, gosh, is a title that gets right to the point.
If you haven't caught any of "Murdered"'s previous trailers, the basic rundown is that you'll play as Ronan O'Connor, the spookiest, Irish-est, and most fashionable cop to ever be gunned down in the street of Salem, Massachusetts and reappear as a spectral phantasm to investigate his own murder.
I apologize for being glib, but one of the things I like about "Murdered" so...

Here's a 15 minute gameplay demo fro Murdered: Soul suspect, revealing how the game will actually play...
One of the most interesting reveals of this year's E3 was the intriguing Murdered: Soul Suspect. The supernatural detective thriller from Square Enix is a new IP that casts you as a murdered detective who attempts to solve his own murder from beyond the grave.
Blending the living and dead worlds, the game will mix in L.A. Noire-style investigation with stealth action and combat using a core ghost dynamic. Murdered protagonist, Ronan O'Connor, gains a host of spectral abilities, such as possession and teleport, not to mention the ability to pass through solid objects, but his interaction with the physical world is limited, making for some interesting gameplay, as seen in the below demonstration.
Ronan will be able to possess other living people but will have no actual control.

The trailers are rolling in at this year's E3. Some of the trailers that are of special interest from PlayStation include Murdered: Soul Suspect, Batman: Arkham Origins, The Order: 1886, Planetside 2, Thief and Destiny.
Destiny
From the creators of Halo and the company that brought you Call of Duty, comes Destiny, an epic adventure unlike anything players have experienced. In Destiny you are a Guardian of the last city on Earth, able to wield incredible power. Explore the ancient ruins of our solar system, from the red dunes of Mars to the lush jungles of Venus. Defeat Earth's enemies. Discover all that we have lost. Become legend.
Thief
Today the shadows are lifting. Garrett, The Master Thief, is back with this announcement trailer for Eidos-Montreal's next title: Thief. There is a rising tide of fear in The City. Hatred saturates every stone, and whilst the rich prosper, the less fortunate face misery and repression.

Square Enix has revealed a new title, Murdered: Soul Suspect, and here's the trailer...
Ahead of E3, Square Enix has uncovered a new title with a spooky twist. Murdered: Soul Suspect will be an action adventure title starring detective, Ronan O'Connor. Ronan is a great detective, but has a bit of a problem - he's been killed.
Now, trapped in the limbo world called Dusk, he has to track down his own mystery killer. Luckily, his new supernatural form grants him various spiritual abilities, including the skill to read minds and influence living people, which helps him affect the mortal world.
Being trapped in limbo also means he'll have to interact with the dead, and as well as fighting various nasties, he'll also have to seek out and question other spirits to further his afterlife investigation.
