- Co-starred as Herbert Bushman in the Broadway comedy "Skyscraper". The play ran from November 13, 1965 to June 11, 1966 for 248 performances. The production starred Julie Harris as Georgina, Peter Marshall as Timothy Bushman, Charles Nelson Reilly as Roger Summerhill, Donald Burr as Mr. Allerton, Nancy Cushman as Mrs. Allerton and Rex Everhart as Stanley.
- Played 'Clifford Grant' in the Broadway comedy "Tough to Get Help". The played closed after opening night, May 4, 1972. Abe Vigoda was also featured in the cast.
- (1973) In a quintessential instance of the Second City Complex, he was flown from his hometown, New York City, to Chicago to portray the controversial and still-in-office mayor of the city, Richard J. Daley for a musical adaptation of Chicago Daily News columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Mike Royko's book about Daley, "Boss." The production, using a script by Frank Galati and directed by William Pullinsi, was performed in Pullinsi's Forum Theater in the Chicago suburb of Summit, IL.
- (May 25, 1973) He played Mayor Daley in the musical, "Boss," at the Forum Theatre in Chicago, Illinois with Dolores Rothenberger (Sis); Roy Gioconda (Quinn); Bill Koza (Kennelly); James Harms (Michael Richard); Joe Bratcher (Lloyd); Constance Cooper (Sister Mary); Marty Zargon (Alderman Gozchitski); William McCauley (Richard Michael); Iris Lieberman (Frieda Toke); Bruce Taylor (Stan Yutu); Julie Jourdan (Betty Jonelle); Nancy Irvine (Cindina Mae) and Ed Krieger (Al) in the cast. William Pullinsi was director and producer. Nick Venden was composer. Frank Galati was lyricist. Lou Conte was choreographer.
