- Guy Peellaert was born on April 6, 1934 in Brussels, Belgium. He was a production designer and writer, known for The Killing Game (1967). He died on November 17, 2008 in Paris, France.
- Belgian pop artist who created surreal pictures for the 1972 cult book "Rock Dreams".
- He created dozens of album covers for musicians including David Bowie and the Rolling Stones. He also designed posters for many films, including "Taxi Driver" and "Paris, Texas".
- He studied fine arts in Brussels, and moved to Paris in the 1960s planning to become a filmmaker. There he met a group of artists and filmmakers who were among the first in the Pop Art movement.
- His work has been exhibited around the world, but he was especially popular in Japan.
