- He was one of the most prominent film actors in the 1950s, 60s and early 70s, not only in Egypt, but across the Arab world.

His dad died after he lost 250,000 pounds, which was a fortune back then, in the stock market in the early 1940. His family was broke after this sudden catastrophe, but his mom worked hard so they could sustain their lifestyle.
