Lucha Reyes was born on May 23, 1906 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She was an actress, known for ¡Ay Jalisco... no te rajes! (1941), Wild Flower (1943) and Song of the Soul (1938). She was married to Félix Martín Cervantes, Antonio Vega Medina and Gabriel Navarro. She died on June 25, 1944 in Mexico City, Mexico.
In November 1944, producer Alfonso Sánchez Tello announced his intention to film the life of Lucha Reyes (the film would have been titled "La vida de Lucha Reyes"). Matilde Sánchez ("La Torcacita"), a ranchera singer, was hired to portray Lucha Reyes. Unfortunately, the film was never made.
