Grammy-winning Swedish director Jonas Akerlund's upcoming doc about legendary German heavy metal rockers Rammstein is heading to the big screen.
Rammstein: Paris, shot at the band's sell-out shows at Paris' Bercy Arena in 2012, has been picked up for worldwide rights (excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland) by Picturehouse Entertainment, the distribution arm of the U.K.'s Picturehouse Cinemas chain, which plans to screen the film in around 350 cinemas internationally, including in the U.S.
Producers describe the concert film as using a radical new approach to capture the emotion and thrill of Rammstein's one-of-a-kind live performance.
