Terrence Riggins

Terrence Riggins is best known for his roles as Spider in What's Love Got To Do With It? and Don Navarone in the CBS soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. He also appears in the "Puffy Shirt" episode of Seinfeld. He began his Equity theatre career in the title role of August Wilson's King Hedley II under the direction of the late Israel Hicks for the Denver Center Theatre Company where he was an acting company member for many years. He has appeared as Harmond Wilks in RadioGolf, Caesar Wilks in Gem of the Ocean, and Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin in the Sun also under the direction of Mr. Hicks whom he credits along with August Wilson with reawakening his passion for the theatre. This reawakening led to his work with New Haven's Collective Consciousness Theatre where he played Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Katori Hall's The Mountaintop and Lucius Jenkins in and Lincoln in Suzan Lori Parks' Topdog/Underdog, among others. and ultimately to the invigorated development of his forthcoming solo work, Unbecoming Tragedy: A Ritual Journey Toward Destiny and his full length play The Picasso Incident: A Slight Exaggeration.
