'Hollyoaks' new boss has axed 11 more characters. The Channel 4 soap's series producer Paul Marquess - who has made considerable cast changes since he joined in January 2010 - plans to cull several more characters in the soap, including the entire Valentine family, who will leave when the storyline surrounding the upcoming death of Calvin (Ricky Whittle) ends. New Hollyoaks boss Paul Marquess has culled another 11 cast members as part of the Channel 4 soap's mass shakeup, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal. A month after his arrival, Marquess took his axe to Josh, Suzanne and Neville Ashworth - played by Sonny Flood, Suzanne Hall and Jim Millea respectively - and subsequently replaced three of the serial's leading producers in a bid to streamline the creative team. 'Hollyoaks' is to air an episode set six months in the future. A special 'flash-forward' episode of the soap will be screened on Monday (21.12.09) showing Calvin Valentine (Ricky Whittle) with his estranged wife Carmel (Gemma Merna), in events which will take place in 2010. A Hollyoaks auction package organised by Gerard McCarthy has raised more than £4,000 for charity. McCarthy, who plays cross dresser Kris Fisher on the Channel 4 soap, arranged a money-can't-buy lot for the White Sapphire Ball, which saw a variety of prizes auctioned off to raise money for Northern Ireland's Children's Hospice. When the event arrived on Saturday night, the highest bidder in the Hollyoaks auction parted with £4,500 to secure a behind-the-scenes tour of the drama's set at Lime Pictures in Liverpool and film a walk-on part for an episode. Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks is to introduce one of its first prominent disabled characters to the show. Bubbly, fun-loving practical joker Hayley Ramsey, played by 24-year-old soap newcomer Kelly-Marie Stewart, is to turn up in the village at the start of next year, much to the surprise of her brother Zak (Kent Riley).
