- The screenwriter and author first studied law before he went on journey which led him to Europe, India and America.
- From 1916 Paul Rosenhayn appeared as an author as well and he was very successful with his crime thrillers, among them also his figure detective Joe Jenkins.
- On the height of his literarily career he published numerous other novels in the 20s.
- After his death there were several novels published posthumous - "Der Flammen-Kreisel" (1930), "Das Haus im Schatten" (1930), "Der Mann am Fenster" (1930) and "Anruf in der Nacht" (1931).
- Paul Rosenhayn continued to write screenplays in the 20s till he died at the age of only 52 in 1929.
- His literally interests led him to the film business in 1915 where he wrote his first screenplays.
- Despite his huge success as a writer Paul Rosenhayn remained active in the film business and he wrote numerous screenplays in the 10s for popular movies.
- He lived several years in India and he wrote articles for different newspapers.
