Anyone who has taken a long trip by bus knows just what an odd experience it can be. Stuck in close quarters with strangers, sometimes for days. Depending on who those strangers are it can be either fun or absolute hell. Black Bags, the new thriller from director Josh Brandon and writers Angela Bourassa and Adam Pachter finds a new way to make it hell even after your trip is over.
Tess is having a troubled pregnancy, so troubled she’s taking experimental meds every four hours to try and see it to term. Presumably, it’s also causing her blackouts which is why she’s taking the bus back from the doctor rather than driving.
On the bus, she meets Sarah who sits next to her despite the bus being mostly empty.

Rotten to the core? Hardly. In fact, when the Descendants 2 stars attended the red carpet premiere at Hollywood's ArcLight Cinerama Dome Tuesday, Cameron Boyce, Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Mitchell Hope and Booboo Stewart looked good. The actors, reprising their roles from the 2015 TV movie, were joined by newbies China Anne McClain and Dylan Playfair, who play Uma and Gil, respectively. Director Kenny Ortega was on hand, of course. He previously directed the High School Musical series, and a few stars—Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Olesya Rulin—turned up Tuesday. Last month, Cameron—who plays Mal—told E! News the movie is "bigger and better than the first; the music is...

They may have played rivals on screen, but these two are still the best of friends! Former "High School Musical" costars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens had a mini reunion on Monday night -- when the pair showed up together for the Guitar Hero Live Launch Party in La. Tisdale, who recently dyed her hair deep red, wowed in a sheer star patterned maxi she paired with a black bodysuit. The 30 year old finished the edgy look with a thick black choker, booties and a gold purse. Her 26-year-old Bff complimented Tisdale with her signature bohemian chic style. Hudgens rocked an embroidered mini dress that featured loose fringed sleeves, along with pointy toe booties and layered necklaces. She kept her hair in soft curls and completed the look with a dramatic cat eye. It's been almost 10 years since the beloved Disney Channel movie first premiered, and after a concert tour,...

PlayStation’s is keeping its Powers. The freshman drama, which is based on Brian Michel Bendis’ comic of the same name, has been renewed for a second season. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the renewal news. Powers follows Sharlto Copley’s Christian Walker, a former super-powered individual who now works as a cop in the Powers division of the police force, a special group that deals with crimes involving those that possess extraordinary abilities. The series’ cast also includes Susan Heyward, Noah Taylor, Olesya Rulin, Adam Godley, Max Fowler, Michelle Forbes, and Eddie Izzard. Although Powers was originally developed at FX, the network ultimately decided not move forward with the series. Eventually, Powers ended up at PlayStation and was given a 10-episode straight-to-series order. The show’s entire first season is available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers; it will return for its second season in 2016. “The...

Sony’s superhero drama Powers may not have lit up the PlayStation Network in a way the company would have hoped – perhaps stifled by the success of Marvel’s Daredevil – but that doesn’t mean the Japanese giant isn’t prepared to have another crack of the whip. In fact, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Sony will bring the series back in 2016 for season 2.
Following the ten-episode stint, the company will be looking to assemble the creative team back for another turn in the Powers Department, and here’s what Sony’s top brass had to say on the renewal.
“The reception to ‘Powers’ has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind,” said John Koller, vp platforms marketing at Sony Computer Entertainment America. “We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as...

While it's not quite a superhero project in the traditional sense —though it is based on a comic series— "Powers" certainly has a mutant spirit, one not unlike X-Men. The series coming to PlayStation (yep, yet another streaming platform) has just dropped its first trailer, and while the execution is debatable, the premise is intriguing. Starring Sharlto Copley, Michelle Forbes, Eddie Izzard, Noah Taylor, Susan Heyward, Olesya Rulin, Max Fowler and Adam Godley, the show follows a formerly super-powered guy who now investigates similarly super-powered crimes as a detective. And it's a role that Copley seems to be enjoying, and it's a fun approach to the genre. But again, we're not sure how we like this first look. Check out the trailer below. No word yet on when it will drop on PlayStation. [Comic Book]...

During the annual New York Comic-Con, Sony took the opportunity to unveil the first trailer for its PlayStation-exclusive television show, Powers.
Based on Michael Avon Oeming and Brian Michael Bendis’ eponymous comic book, the series is due to premiere this December and follows Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward), a pair of homicidal detectives who specialize in the abnormal.
Specifically, the two appear to be keeping close tabs on the titular Powers — a group of humans with supernatural abilities — within the Windy City itself, Chicago. From the above footage, it appears as though Copley’s character has an innate connection with the misunderstood antagonists, claiming that they somehow managed to steal his own mystical powers.
Joining Copley and Heyward for the procedural are Eddie Izzard, Noah Taylor, Olesya Rulin, Max Fowler, and Adam Godley. It’s understood that the pilot episode will be overseen by David Slade...

New York – Sony PlayStation is looking to make a splash in streaming television, and to that end, they're launching a series "inspired" by the graphic novel series "Powers." Today, they took to the Empire Stage at New York Comic-Con to talk to us about the show. There were no big casting announcement today, we know who has been cast in "Powers," and we have (recently) gotten to see some stills (like the one above). However, the footage shown today was in fact the first footage that has been made public. As for that cast, Sharlto Copley, who plays the male lead, Detective Christian Walker, was not in evidence as he's currently filming. The female lead however, Susan Heyward, who stars as Deena Pilgrim, was there for the panel. Also in New York were stars Noah Taylor (Johnny Royalle), Olesya Rulin (Calista), Logan Browning (Zora), Eddie Izzard (Wolfe), and executive producer/co-creator of the graphic novels,...

The first trailer for Playstation's new TV series Powers is set to premiere this weekend at New York Comic Con, and I imagine it will be released online around the same time. The news comes from Variety who reports that Copley will play Christian Walker, described as "a dapper and charismatic character with a darkness and violence right at the surface but with a sense of buried integrity." The description goes on to say that "Walker has the dissolute air of a faded rock star and the body of a battered heavyweight. A faded hero, he’s now a detective who works with law enforcement, using his singular expertise to investigate crimes in the Powers community."

The cast of "High School Musical" is reuniting for its five-year reunion. Monique Coleman organized her former castmates to come back together for an epic party to celebrate the Disney Channel classic, and she's doing it for a good cause.
As shown in the above announcement, one lucky "HSM" fan will win an opportunity to attend the reunion party as part of a contest that supports Coleman's foundation GimmeMo'. Attendees simply need to donate to the cause for a chance to win.
In attendance at the party will be Vanessa Hudgens, Ashely Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Kaycee Stroh, Olesya Rulin and director Kenny Ortega, as well as Coleman and "more." Noticably absent from that list is Zac Efron, who has a conflict but has a "special surprise planned for the winner" in place of actually being at the party.
The winner of the contest gets flights from anywhere worldwide to the "private homecoming bash.
