Scrolling through Netflix’s “suggested shows” section and finding a programme called Brews Brothers was one of the most unusual recent finds I have to admit… Tasing a chance on another Netflix original this turned out to be entertaining and a bit of fun but if I had to chance to, I probably won’t watch it again.
To start with, the characters are almost too relatable. I did see myself and people I know in the characters which at times did make the comedy even funnier as I know someone who would do something that stupid but apart from this the characters were all a bit boring. They are ordinary people, with none of them really possessing any features I aspire for. The thing with relatability...

What’s better than a cold brewsky and a raunchy comedy, right? Well, Netflix has taken both ideas and fused them in the form of Brews Brothers. Produced by Greg Schaffer, the series puts a sibling rivalry in the middle of a brewery bar and lets the performers do the rest. The show stars Mike Castle and Alan Aisenberg as the...

Netflix has set April 10 for the premiere of Brews Brothers, its new comedy series from brothers Greg Schaffer and The League creator Jeff Schaffer.
Alan Aisenberg (Orange Is the New Black) and Mike Castle star as estranged brothers Wilhelm (Aisenberg) and Adam Rodman (Castle), who find themselves running a brewery together. Each one is a beer genius… a braumeister, but they couldn’t be more different in their beer-making techniques and personalities. A lot of times in a show you see two people who complete each other. These two don’t even make a full person.
Carmen Flood and Marques Ray also star. Greg Schaffer serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer. Jeff Schaffer, Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn serve as executive producers.
Check out a few first-look photos below.

A top Department of Homeland Security (Dhs) official has admitted on the record that electronics sold in the U.S. are being preloaded with spyware, malware, and security-compromising components by unknown foreign parties. In testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, acting deputy undersecretary of the Dhs National Protection and Programs Directorate Greg Schaffer told Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-ut) that both Homeland Security and the White House have been aware of the threat for quite some time.
When asked by Rep. Chaffetz whether Schaffer was aware of any foreign-manufactured software or hardware components that had been purposely embedded with security risks, the Dhs representative stated that “I am aware of instances where that has happened,” after some hesitation.

The Montecito Picture Co. is ramping up its development slate by pre-emptively picking up two projects, one a spec script, the other a pitch. Spec Disturbia is written by Christopher Landon and is described as a teen thriller homage to Rear Window. Grand Theft Otto, picked up by Montecito as a pitch, is being written by Greg Schaffer and Steve Joe. Alec Berg and Jeff Schaffer, who made Eurotrip with Montecito, also are producing. Otto is a buddy action comedy that has child rapper-actor Bobb'e J. Thompson attached to star. Thompson appeared on The Tracy Morgan Show, which is where he first met Schaffer and Joe. Thompson also did voice work for Shark Tale and That's So Raven The company's Jackie Marcus brought in the projects and will produce along with Montecito principals Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock and Joe Medjuck. The company has a first-look deal with DreamWorks. Landon co-wrote Another Day in Paradise with Melanie Griffith and James Woods. He also was a writer on Blood and Chocolate. Landon is repped by UTA and manager Kevin Donahue. Schaffer and Joe wrote features Victory and Loco for Warner Bros. and Reverend Pimp Daddy for Sony. Their television credits include Rodney and Veronica's Closet. Schaffer, Joe and Thompson are repped by UTA. Thompson is additionally repped by Lauren Lloyd.
