- SpouseGayle Gibson Sedawie(1969 - March 12, 2016) (his death)
- As if December 2003, he and his wife of 47 years Gayle Gibson, are retired and living the good life on a quiet seven-acre spread on Oregon's North Umpqua River. They enjoy frequent visits from family and friends. They both won many awards over the years including an International Emmy for producing Rich Little's Christmas Carol (1978) as well as many Canadian awards. They worked with many stars, among them Marilyn Monroe, Bill Cosby, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Suzanne Somers, Bob Hope, Stan Kenton, Mel Tormé, the Smothers Brothers. They enjoyed their work and the many people they met over 50-plus years in TV and movies. However, they don't miss "the biz" one bit.
- 2016 Update: Norman passed away March 12 2016. He was surrounded by the family he loved so much. His wisdom and wonderful stories will truly be missed. A tribute to his life was held on June 25th 2016. It was hosted by Gayle Sedawie and attended by numerous family members and friends.
