Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Michael Serrian worked in the publishing industry as a proofreader, copywriter, and graphic designer. In 1987, his first two novels Captured and Night Runners were published. The suspense thrillers, Mirage and Fatal Exit, soon followed, published by Bantam Books. In 1995, Macmillan published his first nonfiction book, Now Hiring: Film, for young adults, focusing on careers in the film industry.
Since relocating to Los Angeles in 1987, Michael Serrian has worked at Walt Disney Feature Animation, Turner Feature Animation, and DreamWorks Animation as Assistant Director and Producer. In 1999, Michael wrote and produced the live action feature, Cruising Purgatory and in 2002, wrote, produced, and co-directed This Way Out of Brooklyn.
Currently, Michael Serrian is a graphic designer and novelist.
