Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones began dating in 1993 and tied the knot six years later. Edward opted for a more low-key wedding than most royals. While there was no ceremonial state or military involvement — their nuptials still attracted thousands of well-wishers who lined the streets and around 200 million viewers who watched from around the world.
Sophie’s dress was designed by Samantha Shaw and featured 325,000 crystals and pearls. She also wore the Anthemion tiara as well as something the prince designed specifically for her.

Root is out of the psych ward and ready to rock! On tonight's Person of Interest, Amy Acker's undeniably devious, possibly crazy cybercrusader has a long-awaited showdown with — and then teams up alongside — Sarah Shahi's cold-blooded supersoldier, Samantha Shaw. On tonight's new episode Person of Interest episode, Finch, Reese and especially Shaw will come face-to-face with someone who challenges them in a brand new way.

In “Razgover" - written by David Slack - Samantha Shaw is tasked with watching over Genrika (played by Danielle Kotch), who The Machine has identified as the latest Person of Interest. Turns out, the kid has some mad surveillance skills, which Shaw realizes could be the reason her number has come up.
I was on the New York set this summer during the shooting of this episode and got a preview from Sarah Shahi and Michael Emerson in between shooting scenes.

Ray Richmond contributes to Deadline’s TV coverage. The third-year CBS hit crime drama Person Of Interest introduced its two newest regulars, Sarah Shahi and Amy Acker, tonight during the second of the Paley Center’s five-night PaleyFest: Made in NY celebration honoring TV shows that shoot in New York. Both actresses had been recurring on the show before getting upped – Acker for two seasons, Shahi for just one. “It was one of those when I first got the job where, if the audience took to me, if the storylines worked, maybe they’d make me a regular,” Shahi said. “So even when I had the job I felt like I was auditioning for the job.” But clearly, the audition went well, as Shahi is now a full-timer in portraying government assassin Samantha Shaw on the series. It worked out nicely for Acker, too, as her character root (a highly...

Thanks to our exclusive interview with new Person of Interest regular Sarah Shahi last week, we learned a lot about what Samantha Shaw will be up to this fall, beginning with tomorrow night's Season 3 premiere.
But what about Finch?
One of the highlights of my recent set visit in New York City was sitting on a park bench with Michael Emerson and talking about what the new season holds for Finch, the Machine and why Finch is so connected to Root. Read on for a revealing primer regarding this character and the hit drama in general...
-------------------------------------------
TV Fanatic: Going into Season 3, how would you describe that new chapter in terms of Finch's journey?
Michael Emerson: I would say that Season 3 offers us a new plateau of complication. One of the givens in the show up until this point was that the Machine was somewhere and was under someone's control.

Warning: There is some mild language in the above video.
"Person of Interest" is getting a big dose of girl power in Season 3. Recurring actresses Sarah Shahi and Amy Acker were both upped to series regulars for the upcoming season, which should make for some interesting complications for main characters Harold Finch and John Reese.
"She has a big bada** presence for sure," Shahi tells Zap2it of her character Samantha Shaw in Season 3. "I know that when they wanted to bring Shaw into the team, they wanted to do it in a very slow, very thought out way. They didn't want her to join too quickly. They wanted the audience to work for it a little bit to be able to see that. In terms of how that relationship is going to grow, other than the fact that it is going to grow, there's really not that much else...

Actress Sarah Shahi plays the mysterious Samantha Shaw on the intriguing CBS drama, Person of Interest. She must be feeling the love right about now because the show is bumping up her involvement. Shahi has been promoted to series regular status. Get ready to see more, more, more.
For a character who was simply introduced to the series in the second season in a multi-episode arc, this is quite an accomplishment. She will join the other regulars, Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, and Taraji P. Henson. CBS president Nina Tassler announced confirmed the news to THR.
Shahi’s character, Shaw, is just as capable as Caviezel’s John Reese. She has a penchant for taking out terrorists before they have a chance to attack.
When he role first began turning heads the actress has no clue that this promotion might one day come, saying, “All I’ve been told is that it’s a multi-episode arc,...

It's a big day for Person of Interest.
First, the drama was shifted to Tuesday nights on the new CBS schedule.
And now the network has announced that Sarah Shahi has been promoted to series regular status. Yes, we'll be seeing a lot more of Samantha Shaw interacting with Michael Emerson's Finch and Jim Caviezel's Reese this fall. Just remember:
Such interactions will be taking place on Tuesdays.
Elsewhere, Michael Raymond-James has also been promoted and will be a regular on Once Upon a Time Season 3.

If you loved Sarah Shahi's story arc as Samantha Shaw in Season 2 of "Person of Interest" then you're in luck, because so did CBS. The network has confirmed that Shahi will be a season regular on the show's next season, which means that she'll be spending a lot more time opposite Michael Emerson's Finch and Jim Caviezel's Reese.
While watching Shahi and Caviezel work opposite one another in Season 2's finale, "God Mode," we actually had commented about what a great team Shaw and Reese make. Hopefully Shahi's fulltime status means that Shaw will now act as a partner to Reese instead of just someone who comes to help him out periodically. This likely also means that Season 3 will focus more on the government people Shaw was working for.
Shahi's promotion isn't the only change coming for "Person of Interest" in Season 3. The series has been moved to Tuesdays at 10 p.

Good news for "Person of Interest" fans, or perhaps mostly good news for Sarah Shahi fans: The "Life" and "Fairly Legal" star will be sticking around on the CBS drama as a regular for the drama's upcoming third season. CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told reporters about Shahi's new status during a Wednesday (May 15) morning conference to discuss the network's 2013-2014 season, calling her "a great addition to the cast." Shahi was introduced in the Season 2 episode as Samantha Shaw, a former operative in the Intelligence Support Activity organization who, like the "Person of Interest" heros, has...

With last week’s extremely superb “Booked Solid,” an episode that adeptly balanced the case of the week with some of the season’s more major story lines, I was prepared for a return to normalcy. Back to episodes more like “One Percent” or “Triggerman.” I was expecting to go back to the Person of Interest of old, with more standalone episodes that capitalized on action, cheesy humor, and non lethal shots to the leg by our favorite mumbling super agent man John Reese. But then Jonathan Nolan had to go and say “Forget that” and deliver what is arguably one of the best and unique episodes of Person of Interest. Ever.
The appropriately titled “Relevance” delved into two things I never thought about the show doing, but it was obvious the show would go in this direction at one point or another. First, the episode...
