Voxtrot return with their new single “Another Fire,” the Austin indie-rock outfit’s first new song in 14 years.
Following a series of acclaimed EPs and a 2007 self-titled album, the Ramesh Srivastava-fronted band called it quits in 2010. Voxtrot came back together for a reunion tour last year, and now they have dropped “Another Fire,” their first new single in 14 years. Stream it below.
“Another Fire” is the first preview of Voxtrot’s sessions in Lockhart, Texas, where all five original members — Ramesh Srivastava, Jason Chronis, Matt Simon, Mitch Calvert, and Jared Van Fleet — convened in early 2023 for a recording session. A peppy pop rock track, it features soaring vocals from Srivastava as he sings, “And no you never knew how human life could change you/ Into something else, just hungry for the kill/ You’re the one true hero/ Dancing in the beauty of another fire, another fire, another fire.”
