- Lister Sinclair was born on January 9, 1921 in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India. He was a writer and actor, known for The July Group (1981), Armchair Theatre (1956) and ITV Television Playhouse (1955). He died on October 16, 2006 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- He was a broadcaster for CBC (Canada) for 55 years. He wrote dozens of radio and television plays. He served as vice president of the CBC, and helped organize the Association of Canadian Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA). He was interested in and knowledgeable about many things, including poetry, math, music, and literature. He once said he wanted to die learning.
