President of Twentieth Century-Fox studios, 1942-1962; chairman of the
board of directors through 1969.
His biography, "Skouras: King of Fox Studios" by Carlo Curti was published by Holloway House in paperback in 1967. It concentrated primarily on his professional dealings with Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor.
On July 17, 1950, daughter Dionysia died at a Los Angeles hospital about an hour after she fell from the fourth floor roof garden penthouse of the Fox West Coast Theatre Exchange Building, owned by her uncle, Charles Skouras.
