It still feels like we're living in some kind of alternate universe after "Terrifier 2" managed to defy all logical expectations to become one of the biggest indie horror hits of all time. Director Damien Leone is also an accomplished special effects artist, and he ups the ante in the sequel to the nth degree. Riding on the wave of blood and success that the last film provided, "Terrifier 3" is poised to be even gorier, more irreverent, and increasingly offensive in the best possible way. Somehow, Art the Clown and his gleefully demented ways have captivated horror hounds that miss the era of the 1980s when luminaries like Tom Savini were rockstars.
The combination of a compelling neo-slasher icon and elaborate practical effects proved to be box office gold for the sequel, which went on to make over 15 million dollars against a budget of just $250,000. The mostly crowdfunded follow-up...

Gorehounds rejoice: everyone's favorite ultra-violent clown is coming back for more.
Deadline is reporting that "Terrifier 3," the third entry in the blood-drenched series, is moving forward, with France-based distributors The Coven launching worldwide sales. There are no plot details to speak of just yet, but you can bet that Art the Clown will be obliterating people in typically gory fashion. The first film, "Terrrifier," was a low-budget, mostly under-the-radar affair when it arrived back in 2016.
Then came "Terrifier 2" last year. The film had a big marketing push, with much talk about how "extreme" it all was. That paid off in a big way: the sequel grossed $15 million on a $250,000 budget. That's a big return, folks! With box office numbers like that, it was only a matter of time before Art the Clown returned.
'Another Boundary Pushing Addition To The Horror Genre'
Again: plot details for "Terrifier 3" are non-existent at the moment,...

The first Terrifier had a budget of $35,000. The budget increased to $250,000 for Terrifier 2… and since that movie managed to make over $15 million at the global box office, the budget is getting a substantial boost for Terrifier 3. Deadline reports that writer/director Damien Leone will have a budget somewhere “in the low-mid seven figure range” to work with when he goes into production on Terrifier 3. Filming is expected to begin in November or December, with the aim being to get the sequel released in late 2024.
The Coven is handling the worldwide distribution sales for Terrifier 3. Phil Falcone is producing the film. David Howard Thornton will be back to play Art the Clown again, with Lauren Lavera reprising the role of Terrifier 2 heroine Sienna.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but Leone was quoted as saying, “Terrifier 3 will be another boundary pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred,...
