Jerry Solowitz was a repected film, television, and cable industry
veteran with a career spanning over thirty years. Distinguished
accomplishemnt include: Executive assistant to Al Fritter at United
Artists-New York, President of Canon Films for branch operations,
Director of pay TV and non-theatrical for MGM/UA and quality control
for all home video. Vice president Worldwide Services for Turner
Entertainment; in charge of all language dubbing, colorization, and
quality control. He served as an industry consultant and expert to the
law firm of Mitchell, Silberberg, and Knupp. From 1991 until his sudden
death he mentored the career of writer/producer 'George Furr', founder and
Chairman of Pyramid Pictures, Ltd. In 1993 he became head of Pyramid
Pictures-West acting as a studio liaison between Los Angeles and the
company's southeastern headquarters.
