Las Vegas -- Former Motown vocalist Richard Street, a member of the Temptations for 25 years, has died. He was 70.
Street's wife, Cindy, says her husband died early Wednesday at a hospital in Las Vegas after a short illness.
Richard Street sang as a young man with Temptations members Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin, but didn't join the famed Motown group until the early 1970s. He later made the move from his native Detroit to Los Angeles with other Motown acts and stayed with the group until the mid-1990s.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but Cindy Street expects services to be held sometime next week in Cypress, Calif.
She says her husband "was a really good person" who should be remembered for his work with the Temptations.

Halloween’s almost upon us, and to mark the occasion, Glen’s delved into the archives to find his favourite horror movie scores…
Good readers, it’s that time of year again. The time when it’s acceptable to wander the streets dressed like a psycho killer and not get arrested for it. It’s also the time of year when there’ll be all manner of Halloween parties, and while some will no doubt resort to lazily playing Monster Mash and Thriller on a loop, I can’t help but feel it would be better if people would dig into some great horror scores to add a suitably spooky atmosphere to proceedings.
A great score can make or break a horror film. With this in mind, here are some of my favourite horror movie scores, as well as some suggestions from some well-informed writers I converse with.

While shooting has been kicked off on March 15, "Green Lantern" has added more names on its cast ensemble. It has just been reported by Variety that Angela Bassett is cast as Dr. Amanda Waller, a government agent who's a staple of the DC Comics series. The 51-year-old previously starred in TV series "ER" as Dr. Cate Banfield and a number of film features.
Another star who has landed a role in the superhero movie is Marcela Duarte. The Brazilian model revealed the news via her Twitter page, but it has not been known what character that is played by her.
Soon after announcing her casting, Duarte has joined the filming at Second Line Stages, 800 Richard Street in New Orleans and later shared new pictures from the set. In one photo, she is seen posing alongside Ryan Reynolds and his dog. The other image, meanwhile, captures her sandwiched between director Martin Campbell and another crew member.
