We Americans are fascinated with food and the people who prepare and serve it. A quick glance at all of the reality cooking/competition shows on television will confirm this. You’ve got everything from “Master Chef” to “Iron Chef” to “Next Level Chef” to “Chef’s Table,” “Chopped,” “The Great British Bake-Off” and “The American Barbecue Showdown,” for starters. But the legacy of scripted TV shows about cooking and restaurant-ing isn’t nearly as epic, which is why FX on Hulu’s “The Bear” was such a revelation when it launched last summer.
“The Bear” introduced up to the pressure-cooker life inside an Italian beef sandwich shop in Chicago. It captured the visceral, adrenalin-pumping chaos of the food industry in a way nothing had before, showing us just how unglamorous and dangerous (and yet colorful and compelling) a kitchen can be. After just eight episodes, it’s already probably the...

Almost an entire generation can talk about their favorite primetime soap opera. The ’70s and ’80s had a fair share of these shows, offering plenty to talk about around the water cooler. One such primetime soap was Falcon Crest. It was popular in its day, with a lineup of big-name appearances. Now that Falcon Crest has been off the air for over 30 years, which cast members are still alive?

"This is your golden parachute, sweetie, don't you see?" XYZ Films has debuted an official trailer for Diary of a Spy, described as a "gripping romantic spy thriller" based on a true story. This one is skipping theaters and opening on VOD / digital starting in July this summer. That latest from the celebrated indie writer / director Adam Christian Clark, Diary of a Spy is a uniquely intimate and gripping espionage thriller that's inspired by true, but confidential, events. A washed-up intelligence officer is given the chance for one last mission, recruiting an asset connected to the Saudi Royal Family. But soon realizes she must decide between finishing her mission or finding a way to save herself. Starring Tamara Taylor as Anna, the disgraced spy, and Reece Noi as Camden, her reclusive mark. Also starring Fred Melamed, Madeline Zima, Susan Sullivan, and Jon Lindstrom, with Paulina Leija. This looks quite intriguing.

Castle has a new address. Lifetime has set an October 5 premiere date for the latest exclusive syndicated run of the crime dramedy starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.

Tonight, viewers said goodby to the Baxters and their friends for a second time. The sitcom was cancelled by ABC after six seasons but was revived a year later for three more seasons on Fox. While there won't be a 10th season anytime soon, this family comedy seems ripe for a revival somewhere down the line.

Castle was a huge fan favorite, but by the time the show reached season 8, it seemed no one was happy.
There were rumors of infighting behind the scenes, which led to fewer and fewer scenes filmed between the two leads.
Then Castle’s lead and supporting actresses (Stana Katic and Tamala Jones) were shockingly fired weeks before Castle Season 8 ended!
Fans were outraged, so much so that they began sending coffee sleeves to ABC with messages such as #SaveCaskett and #CancelCastle. Coffee was a symbol of love and affection between the two characters throughout the series.
The show’s fans wanted the series canceled rather than have it go on without their favorite couple.
What other show has had its diehard shippers root for its demise rather than see the series-long love story end and its main couple left to bleed out on the floor?
The fans got their wish.

Technology is amazing, isn’t it? On Thursday’s “Last Man Standing,” Mike Baxter (Tim Allen) is trapped in their Vail, Colorado cabin, courtesy of what appears to be like 5 feet of snow. Thankfully, his FaceTime is functioning flawlessly amid the blizzard.

The bride, by the way, is cool as a cucumber over everything. It’s a different story for Vanessa (Nancy Travis).

Mike Baxter’s got a secret on Thursday’s “Last Man Standing,” the question is, can he keep it? Well, the very easy answer is, of course he can, because it will allow him to “torment” his dear wife Vanessa.
In TheWrap’s exclusive clip from “You’ve Got Male (or Female),” one of tonight’s two back-to-back episodes of the Fox sitcom, Mike’s (Tim Allen) daughter Kristen (Amanda Fuller), comes to his office to ask him to be in charge of her unborn baby’s gender reveal party because she believes he’s capable of keeping the big secret — and that her mother Vanessa (Nancy Travis) definitely is not.
Mike admits that while he wouldn’t normally plan a party, he will gladly be in charge of this one, since it’s going to eat up Vanessa when she finds out he knows the gender of their grandchild and she doesn’t.

Two-time Oscar winner Michael Douglas made a triumphant return to the small screen with “The Kominsky Method,” his first episodic television series since “The Streets of San Francisco” in 1972-76. The role of Sandy Kominsky, an aging acting coach who enjoyed a brief brush with fame, earned him an Emmy nomination in Best Comedy Actor. He’s now a six-time nominee, having won for his leading performance in the TV movie “Behind the Candelabra” (2013) and competed three times for “The Streets of San Francisco” (1974-76) and once more for a guest turn on “Will & Grace” (2002). Additionally, he contended at SAG and the Critics Choice awards for the Netflix comedy.
For his Emmy submission, Douglas has chosen the pilot, “An Actor Avoids.” In this installment, Sandy asks Lisa (Nancy Travis), a divorcee attending his acting class, out on a date. He meets with his agent, Norman (Alan Arkin), who informs...

Alan Arkin is just an Emmy win away from the Triple Crown of Acting. The veteran actor earned an Oscar for his supporting role in “Little Miss Sunshine” (2006) and a Tony Award in 1963 for his featured role in “Enter Laughing.” This year, he is nominated as Best Comedy Supporting Actor for his role as talent agent Norman Newlander on Netflix’s “The Kominsky Method.” Arkin has submitted the episode “Chapter Two: An Agent Grieves” for Emmy consideration.
The episode centers around Norman planning a funeral for his wife Eileen (Susan Sullivan) after she has died of cancer. Though devastated by his wife’s death, Norman enlists his best friend and client Sandy Kominsky (Best Comedy Actor nominee Michael Douglas) to carry out Eileen’s final wishes. Eileen leaves specific directions for her funeral, including having a casket made of reclaimed wood from a sunken ship. Norman endeavors to follow Eileen’s request,...

There’s a common thread that ties together most of this year’s comedy actor contenders, and it’s pretty morbid. For a category that’s supposed to be all about chuckles, there sure is a lot of death.
On “Barry,” Bill Hader plays a hit man — and although he’s struggling to move past his murderous profession, he’s still haunted by the people he’s had to off. Michael Douglas’ character in “The Kominsky Method” has to comfort his best friend (Alan Arkin) after the loss of his wife (Susan Sullivan), and the specter of everyone’s advancing mortality is an ongoing theme. Ted Danson is a spirit in the afterlife who helps a group of deceased misfit humans try to get into “The Good Place.” Don Cheadle’s “Black Monday” starts and ends with a gruesome death on the day of the 1987 stock market crash. “Forever” follows...

In the third episode of Netflix’s charming new silver-haired comedy The Kominsky Method, Michael Douglas pees in the hedges outside the home of the woman he’s dating. This could merely be an easy joke at the expense of a senior citizen with less control over his bodily functions than he once had. And to a degree it is. (Later, he tells a friend, “Yesterday, I kissed a woman goodnight, then urinated on her bush.”) But that joke and all the other ones about Douglas’ weak stream — including a...

It was all about relationships on Last Man Standing Season 7 Episode 6.
Mother and daughter relationships, embarking on new relationships and taking advantage of family relationships, all played a significant role in the Baxter family drama and shenanigans.
The arrival of Vanessa's mother had her in a frenzy. She was plagued with self-doubt, as well as a constant fear of nothing Vanessa did was right in her mother's eyes.
She of course leaned on Mike for support, but he took the time to remind her how he never mended his relationship with his father and now it is too late.
Vanessa: Wait! Where do you think you're going?
Mike: I go to work, make money, you buy flowers.
Vanessa: No, no wait! You can't leave my mother is going to be here any second.
Mike: Why didn't you say so? I will get my announcement trumpet and blow it right here in the foyer.
