After 11 victims’ bodies have been found over a decade ago on Gilgo Beach in Long Island, New York, Rex Heuermann has been arrested by police.
Investigators have been trying to solve the murders of nine women, one man and a toddler, but it seemed, they did not have much luck until recently.
Officials were unsure whether they were dealing with one serial killer or multiple people who may have acted together. On Thursday, a break in the case was finally made, and Heuermann was taken into police custody.
Through a bail application, it was found that Heuermann had already been charged with three killings and is being suspected in a fourth. He was arraigned on Friday and has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. He has been ordered to be held with bail.
Heuermann is an architect in Nassau County in Long Island and has resided there for most of his life.

Written by Jadzia Axelrod with artwork by Jess Taylor and lettering by Ariana Maher, DC Comics’ Galaxy: the Prettiest Star beautifully brings a cosmically queer romance story to life. The young adult graphic novel follows Taylor, an alien princess known as the Galaxy Crowned/Taelyr, who lives on Earth disguised as a human boy. At first, Taylor seems happy living a normal high school life as a basketball player with a cute corgi named Argus. Although there are hints that Taylor’s decision to hide who she is is taking a toll on her, she pushes those feelings aside. Taylor hides her incredible powers in fear of bringing the dangerous Vane to Earth. But after Taylor meets the Metropolis transplant (and super cute) Kat, she begins questioning the price of living an inauthentic life.

A carpenter named John Bittrolff, who was recently sentenced to prison for murdering two prostitutes, may be responsible for one or more of the unsolved deaths connected to the bodies discovered on Gilgo Beach in Long Island, New York, a prosecutor said Tuesday.
“There are remains of the victims at Gilgo that may be attributed to the handiwork of Mr. Bittrolff, and that investigation is continuing,” Robert Biancavilla, a prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in New York, told the Associated Press.

It was six years ago, when a Suffolk County police officer and his dog came across the remains of 24-year-old Melissa Barthelemy. Over the next several days, police discovered the bodies of three other young women, all wrapped in burlap and placed within about 500 feet of one another, buried in the marsh on Gilgo Beach in Long Island, New York. The remains were later identified as Amber Costello, Megan Waterman and Maureen Brainard-Barnes. All four women had worked as online escorts and had been missing for months or years.

Three Portland, Ore., teens demanded a classmate's skateboard, money and iPad. Then, according to prosecutors, they assaulted him with a crowbar and a Bb gun, and carved a swastika into his forehead. They are being charged as adults. Bail has been set at $2.9 million each. A fourth suspect, who is 14, faces less serious charges as a juvenile. "There is no understanding what they did," the victim's mother, Kelli Murrain, told Kptv-tv.
