Yakov Vladimirovich Tripolsky is Soviet actor and screenwriter, People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1966). Was born in Pasanauri.
In 1941 he graduated from the philological faculty of Tbilisi University. Since 1942 - artist of the Mardjanishvili Theater (Tbilisi). Thanks to the resemblance, Tripolsky played the role of Stalin in many Soviet films about the Great Patriotic War. Was awarded by Order of the Badge of Honor (1958).
