- Bob Van der Veken was born on September 26, 1928 in Antwerpen, Flanders, Belgium. He was an actor and director, known for Wittekerke (1993), De collega's (1978) and De Kollega's maken de brug! (1988). He was married to Mariette Van Arkkels. He died on February 18, 2019 in Heide, Kalmthout, Flanders, Belgium.

"If something is done well, you should stay away from it," he may have sounded a little too honest at the time, but he was right about what he said about the film... and his prediction came true.
