She was the daughter of a general and she graduated from a dance- and
acting school. At the beginning of the 1930s she was a soloist dancer
on Viennese stages. As an actress she made her debut in 1939 in Aussig
and Marienbad. Then she performed in Linz, Dortmund and 1942 at the
Schillertheatre in Berlin. Other theatre performances included Aachen,
Stuttgart and Munich.
Starting in 1948 Olga von Togni took on film roles. She usually played
farmers in spite of her aristocratic ancestry. She was married to the
cameraman Walter Robert Lach.
