Began working in animation in the 1940s assisting at Disney; he later
worked at MGM where he assisted on the "Tom and Jerry" cartoons.
Headed up the Xerography department at Hanna-Barbera.
Was an infant actor in silent film shorts for Warner Bros. from 1924 to
1926.
Retired in 1989.
In 2005, the Animation Guild (IATSE Local #839, of which he was a
longtime member) presented "Tiger" with the Golden Award for his
50-year career in the animation field.
In 1977 partnered with Walt Kubiak to create Kubiak-West Entertainment.
They subcontracted animation from Hanna Barbera, Ruby Spears
Productions and Depatie Freleng Enterprises until 1982.
