Twitter is not a comic’s best friend, the producers and judges of NBC’s exhumed Last Comic Standing said today at NBC Press Day. “I want to see you on stage with that mike, then I’m going to get it,” judge Keenen Ivory Wayans said. “I don’t know where the jokes come from when they’re online. It’s not real to me unless I see you with a microphone.” “I enjoy it, because I like to provoke people and get them pissed off,” judge Roseanne Barr jumped in. “The whole heckler thing is why I got into it. I like being fast with the retort…I like to block people too.” Next month, NBC returns Last Comic Standing, with new judges Barr, Wayans, and Russell Peters, new host Jb Smoove , new format, new celebrity guests, and invitation-only auditions. This reality television talent show aired its first...

NBC has become the second broadcast network to announce their plans for the summer of 2011. On the Peacock's agenda are new seasons of America's Got Talent and The Marriage Ref, as well as new reality shows The Voice, It's Worth That? (think The Price is Right meets Pawn Stars), Still Standing (a trivia show), and Love in the Wild (basically The Bachelor meets Survivor). Additionally, NBC will continue to air new episodes of newly revamped Law & Order: La, along with the final seasons of Friday Night Lights and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
There's no mention of Love Bites, Friends with Benefits, or The Paul Reiser Show, so we can safely say that none of the three will be seeing the light of day anytime soon. You can check the press release below for dates and times of the shows that NBC will be airing this summer.

ABC has ordered a new reality competition show from two "Last Comic Standing" producers in which comedians have to be funny on the fly.
In "The Fast & the Funniest," a group of stand-ups travel cross-country competing in challenges and performances. The first three to reach the final destination will perform for a cash prize.
The project's order is contingent on casting, with Apa-repped Page Hurwitz and Javier Winnik producing the show.
"Funniest" could represent a more urgent take on the comic-competition series format made popular by "Standing," which ran for several years on NBC until it was canceled in 2008.
If greenlighted, "Funniest" would debut on the network in late midseason or next summer. It joins ABC's upcoming auto-competition series "Crash Course" and the Jamie Oliver weight-loss series among the network's reality efforts in development.

TBS is looking to do a contemporary take on vaudeville, greenlighting a half-hour pilot hosted by Harland Williams that would air in late-night.
The tentatively titled "The TBS Comedy Roadshow," from TBS Prods., would travel around the country to historically significant regional or vaudeville theaters and use local talent -- including a mix of stand-up comedy, novelty acts, musical acts, short films and animated shorts -- in what is described as a "celebration of what's funny in America."
The project is executive produced by Page Hurwitz and Javier Winnik, both of whom worked on "Last Comic Standing."
Williams is the writer-director of the upcoming film "Wingman," which is casting for a late-spring start in Canada. He is repped by Apa, H2F Entertainment and Colden, McKuin & Frankel.
Hurwitz is with Apa and attorney Marc Golden. Winnik is repped by attorney Kerry Smith.
