Born in Seoul, Korea, to Chinese parents, Sally also lived in Taiwan,
Japan, Guam, USA, Dominican Republic, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China.
She attended UC Berkeley in International Trade and Politics, with a
minor in Communications, later became a graduate at the American Film
Institute's MFA program. She began her media career on radio in San
Francisco (KFRC and KMEL) and Taiwan (BCC and ICRT), which led to
television (CTV, TTV and CTS in Taipei, MTV in Asia), as an on-air
personality and producer. Her debut film, Bean Sprouts and Salted Fish
(1997), won awards at the Singapore International Film Festival. She's
writing, developing and producing reality and narrative TV to feature
films.
