- In the late 1960's, Baum moved to Greenwich Village and became a film maker. She traveled to London in 1968 and appeared in a pseudo-documentary film called Dope. According to an April 1970 article in the San Bernardino Sun, Baum was given a two-year suspended sentence by the U.S. District Court for smuggling 66 pounds of hashish into the country.
