When we last took a look at Jesse Cowell's Status Kill, it was an independent production on Blip. Since that well-received first season, the sci-fi comedy about social media abuse has given us an entire second season on My Damn Channel. The second to last episode of the latest batch of Status Kill installments was recently released, with the finale coming up in the middle of November. The first season of Status Kill followed futuristic agent Denton Sparks, a highly-trained government operative who receives all of his assignments through an addictive social media platform called TweetFaceSter (I'm surprised that Cowell didn't go with YouTwitFace.) Since being added to the My Damn Channel, Cowell has changed things up a bit. Instead of detailing Sparks' own dependence on social media, all of the episodes attack annoying social media habits by forcing Sparks to interact with exaggerated characters who exhibit poor Internet form.

Listen guys, I hate to be the ones to break this to you, but I don’t think Pax South is going to happen anytime soon. I know, please try to restrain your shock. However, a new challenger to the crown may have arrived. Rooster Teeth Expo (Rtx) will be making it’s presence known in the convention scene in Austin, Texas come July 7-8th.
Rooster Teeth, the guys behind Red vs Blue, have already announced that Halo 4 will be having its first public multiplayer demo as well as featuring exhibitions from indie developers Twisted Pixel and Robot Entertainment and panels featuring internet darlings such as Mega64 and Freddie Wong.
This is the first year Rtx will be open to the public, and it’s looking to be a great alternative from what we’ve come to expect from gaming conventions. Rtx is promising to be a more relaxed...

It's the not too distant future. Denton Sparks is an elite, covert, one-man assassin squad. He's on a secret mission to rid both the on and offline worlds of the Spam King, a dangerous computer hacker responsible for the financial collapse and ensuing destruction of at least two island nations. The assignment would be suicide for you or me, but for Sparks, it's just another day on the job. He has the paramilitary training of a Jason Bourne and the Twitter presence of an Ashton Kutcher. Dude's addicted to social networking. So begins Status Kill, a brand new web series that premiered yesterday at a blip.tv screening and is set to drop online next week. Created by Jesse Cowell (who online video fans will recognize as the creator of the mixed live-action/animated series, Drawn by Pain, and Red vs. Blue forum members will recognize as Jeskid), the show is equal parts action flick,...
