SandalwoodThe actor will play a reserve forest officer in the film, which revolves around forest and wildlife conservation.Digital NativeShraddha Srinath has bagged a role in the Rishab Shetty directorial Rudraprayag. The plot of the film reportedly revolves around forest and wildlife conservation. In the movie, Shraddha will play a reserve forest officer in charge of the forest in Belgavi. The film will also star Anant Nag in a lead role. On choosing the title Rudraprayag, the director had said in an interview earlier to the New Indian Express, “Prayag means sangama (confluence) in Hindi, and the subject will have relevance to Rudraprayag, which is established if you turn the poster upside down. This is a point of confluence of two rivers – Alaknanda and Mandakini – and they are of different characters. While one is completely calm, the other river is very vibrant. It then forms the river Ganga. That’s the speciality of this place.

SandalwoodThough the actors have performed well, the film falls back on a predictable formula.Aravind ShwethaIn an industry dominated by mass heroes, a well-made heroine-centric film is a welcome change. Mahira, a suspense thriller made on a relatively low budget, and with an amalgamation of newbies and veterans in the cast, had upped the ante with an electrifying trailer and unique promotional strategies on social media. The movie had grabbed the headlines for all the right reasons and was touted to become one of the most entertaining thrillers of this year. And it could have been one, if the makers had taken care of a few important elements that have ended up denting the narration of the film. The film opens in a coastal region where Maya (Virginia Rodrigues) and her daughter Adya (Chaitra Achar) are living a happy life, running a beach café. Their life suddenly turns upside down...

Movie Review: 'Panchamrutha'; Cast: Sreenagara Kitty, Raghu Mukherjee, Devaraj, Pooja Gandhi, Neetu, Neenasam Achyutha, Dileep Raj, Supreetha and Tara; Director: T.N. Nagesh; Producer: Jnaanesh; Music Composer: Ashley-Abhilash; Camera: A.C. Mahendar; Rating: * - an experiment gone awry.
'Panchamrutha' is a good experiment of presenting six stories in one film. Though the title suggests it is a mix of five Amrutha's, the director has narrated six small stories on screen by casting different actors.
This sort of experiment is not new to the Kannada film industry. The late Puttanna Kanagal had experimented.

Film: ‘Sanchari’; Director: Kiran Goyi; Cast: Raj, Biyanka Desai, Dileep Raj, Rangayana Raghu, Subbaraju, Bullet Prakash; Rating: **
‘Sanchari’ had created a lot of interest among the Kannada film fans as its songs were a big success. The songs topped the charts in music programmes and television channels.
Director Kiran Goyi had made an honest effort in his previous attempt ‘Payana’ but ‘Sanchari’ does not stand up to the expectations it had created before its release because of a weak script.
