Giancarlo Esposito is returning to AMC, the home of his Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, in Parish, a thriller set in New Orleans.
Esposito, himself a gearhead, stars as Gracian “Gray” Parish, a family man and proud owner of a luxury car service in The Big Easy.
Speaking at AMC’s TCA press tour, Esposito said New Orleans is a “city of demons”.
“It’s a city that has a majority of churches, more than any other city in America. It’s a city with bars on every corner, where you can party until four in the morning. It seems like a place where you have to make a choice and our show’s a lot about the choices that Gracian Parish makes, whether they be good choices or bad choices and how they affect his family,” he said. “It was so much about the family and community, not only the city,...

Prime Video series “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” has unveiled first look images.
The series is a reimagining of the 2005 film starring Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie as Mr. Smith and Mrs. Smith, respectively. In this iteration, Donald Glover (“The Martian”) stars as John Smith, while Maya Erskine (“PEN15”) stars as Jane Smith.
This new version features John and Jane both landing jobs working for an international spy agency where they must pose as spouses Mr. Smith and Mrs. Smith. As they navigate a new mission each week, they find themselves falling in love with one another, complicating — and compromising — their “strictly business” relationship. Notably, this version features an intentional sham marriage between two strangers, as compared to the 2005 original, in which Mr. Smith and Mrs. Smith were married without being aware of each other’s identity as an assassin.

Since beginning a career in on-screen entertainment in 1958, Ellen Burstyn has earned herself an Emmy, an Oscar and a Tony, and already has a legacy that speaks for itself. But she's not content with retirement just yet as Deadline reports she has just signed on to make her feature directorial debut in a film that she will also star in called Bathing Flo, a character piece inspired by events in the actual life of Thruline Entertainment manager/producer Danny Sherman. The story is set in New York, following a man looking for a place to live, who ends up house-sitting for a man in a home occupied by the resident's mother, Flo. “A long time ago in the ’70s, when AFI initiated a directing workshop for women, I was in the first one. Independent book publisher Author Solutions has made a first-look partnership with management/production company Principal Entertainment. The goal is to turn the books into films and TV projects. Asi has created a Film and New media department that will be run by Marcus Chait, former director of development for Paula Wagner and who partners with Patrick Wilson in Lost Rhino Films. Liz Robinson, Danny Sherman and Jen Weinbaum will oversee the arrangement for Principal. Asi, through which authors self-publish their works, has about 120,000 untapped titles in its library, and recently made a deal with Harold Robbins' widow to re-release 12 of the late author's steamy titles. "Several of our titles, including Legally Blonde and September Dawn, have found success and we hope through this partnership to provide more of our authors these opportunities," said Asi president/CEO Kevin Weiss.
