Welcome to this week’s review of Aew’s latest television show, Collision, which brings wrestling back to Saturday nights! We’ve got the commentary team of Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action, so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia & Hiroshi Tanahashi def. Lance Archer & The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
“Daddy Magic” Matt Menard joined the broadcast booth for this match. Dutch and Claudio rammed into each other like two bulls. Dutch slammed Claudio with ease. Claudio fired back with a big double stomp to Dutch. Garcia and Vincent tagged in. Garcia kicked Vincent repeatedly in the corner. Garcia dropped Vincent on his back with a suplex. Garcia tagged in Tanahashi. Archer tagged in but ate some forearms from Tanahashi. “The Ace” leveled Archer with a running forearm, but Archer came back with a big cross body.

It’s Monday so you know what that means, it’s time for our weekly review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show was broadcast from the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, Wv and featured Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Chris Jericho on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: Orange Cassidy def. Alex Reynolds The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Reynolds and Silver taunted Orange by hugging in front of him. Cassidy knocked Silver off the apron and then connected with a Ddt on Reynolds. Orange followed up with a tope suicida to Reynolds and Silver. Orange whipped Reynolds into the steel ring steps. Orange threw Silver into the barricade. Back in the ring, Reynolds intercepted the Orange Punch and rocked Orange with an elbow strike. Silver smashed Orange with a brain buster on the floor while the ref was distracted by Reynolds. Reynolds wiped out Cassidy with a running back elbow.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’ve got Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight and Mark Henry on commentary and an 8-match, still sub 50 minutes, card this week… Let’s get right into the review and the action!
Match #1: Leyla Hirsch def. Ella Envy
My Thoughts: Leyla Hirsch opens the show! Love to see it. Hirsch demolished her opponent in this one, in a clear squash match that legitimised (pun intended) Hirsch’s new nasty, hard-hitting, nature. It’s times like this that sqash matches Do work!
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Brock Anderson & Lee Johnson def. The Factory (Qt Marshall & Aaron Solo)
My Thoughts: Cracking tag team action from Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson. The former is really coming along in terms of skill and presentation, leaning into his resemblance to his father in looks And movies now. Qt Marshall did his usual shtick,...

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which emanated from the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. We’ve got another 4-match show, set’s get right into it!
Match #1: Darby Allin def. The Butcher
My Thoughts: This one was essentially The Butcher kicking Darby Allin’s arse for the entire time with Darby getting the least amount of offence I’ve seen from him in a long time. So much so that anyone would have sworn The Butcher was going to get the win. He didn’t. Instead, he got counted out – which actually made a lot of sense given how much he’d been in control of this match, a pin would have felt out of place I think – I’m hoping this is a sign of things to come...

It’s time for this week’s review of Aew: Dark, which once again comes from Aew Universal and, surprisingly, features an appearance by the Young Bucks… On Dark?! What’s going on? The Bucks taking a walk down memory lane? Let’s take a look.
Match #1: The Young Bucks & Brandon Cutler def. Dark Order
My Thoughts: This was a great opening match with both teams looking good. Cutler did his usual goofy stuff and Still got the pin. You knew Dark Order weren’t going to win this one but Cutler getting the pin? Really?! Still, a really good match to open Dark. Still weird seeing the Bucks wrestle at Universal Studios again though…
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Ruby Soho def. Ashley D’Amboise

Welcome to this review of Aew: Dynamite, this week’s episode was broadcast live from Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. We’ve got Tony Schiavone, Excalibur, and Jim Ross on commentary and the fallout from Revolution to get to!
Match #1: Aew World Championship Match – “Hangman” Adam Page def. Dante Martin The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
They began with a handshake. They quickly locked up and Page took down Dante with a shoulder tackle. Dante fired back with a dropkick to Page’s mouth. Dante hit a springboard press off the ropes but “Hangman” held on and used a fallaway slam on Dante! “Hangman” hurled himself over the top rope with a body press to Dante Martin on the arena floor. Back in the ring, Dante flipped over Page’s back. Dante smashed into Page with pinpoint accuracy with a moonsault to the outside! Dante jumped off the...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is the first of this weeks post-Revolution Aew shows and features a mere six matches in an episode that is the shortest (I think) we’ve seen in a while. We’ve also only got Paul Wight and Mark Henry on commentary this week too… Interesting. Let’s get right into the review… and the action!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Cameron Stewart
My Thoughts: Do I really need to repeat myself when it comes to Lance Archer’s matches against enhancement talent on Elevation and/or Dark? Archer drags his opponent out of the back, throws them in, and then around, the ring then gets the win. Same old, same old. Though Archer dragged this “match” out for far too long this week.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Ruby Soho vs. Session Moth Martina

Welcome to this review of 2022’s Aew: Revolution pay per view, which emanates from Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida and features a whopping 12 matches across the Buy-In and the main PPV itself. Can’t say you don’t get your money’s worth with Aew!
The Buy-in Match #1: Kris Statlander def. Leyla Hirsch
My Thoughts: What a match to open the Buy-In. I’ve loved the fact Leyla Hirsch has finally got a decent feud in Aew, even if the blow-off is in the PPV pre-show. Hirsch has taken well to her new heel role and it’s made her look even more badass than I already thought she was! Hirsch stumbled at one point but a massive step-up hurricanrana from the apron to the floor made up for that! Statlander was no slouch in this match either, using her strength and power to pick up Hirsch and throw her around the ring.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is shorter than last week’s show and, hopefully, features better matches than the squashes and multi-man matches we got last week. Let’s find out!
Match #1: Jay Lethal def. Jora Johl
My Thoughts: This was Ok. Nothing exciting but a solid match nonetheless. Lethal made Johl look good and vice versa, with both men selling for the other and getting the best wrestling they could out of each other. Post-match Matt Hardy continued his anger/disappointment at Ahfo members not winning matches, dressing down Johl and threatening to “delete” him from the faction.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Red Velvet def. Skye Blue
My Thoughts: Again, another solid if not remarkable match. This was two young, relatively new, wrestlers feeling each other out. This was a bit too short and suffered from the Leyla Hirsch distraction,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features eight matches in less than an hour… now that’s how you keep folks interested, a stacked card and a fast pace! Speaking of pace, let’s get right into the review.
Match #1: Trios Match – Tay Conti, Anna Jay and Red Velvet def. Freya States, Angelica Risk, and Arie Alexander
My Thoughts: This was your typical Aew quasi-squash match only this time in a Trios format. Tay Conti looked strong on the outset until Freya States was tagged in… Speaking of whom, States looks formidable in the ring in terms of height against the other women in this match. She’d be a great addition to the women’s roster Imho, sitting somewhere between Aew’s smaller women and the powerhouses like Nyla Rose and Abadon. I’m hoping we see more from her going forward.

Welcome to this review of Aew’s Dynamite Beach Break special which emanates from Cleveland, Ohio and the Wolstein Center. We’ve got a bunch of highly anticipated matches on this card and someone very nice, very evil making an appearance! Let’s get to it.
Match #1: TNT Title Unification Ladder Match – Interim Champion Sammy Guevara def. Champion Cody Rhodes The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Cody snatched a side headlock on Sammy. After a shoulder tackle, Cody flexed. Sammy backflipped over Cody and connected with a corkscrew dropkick on Cody! Cody was looking for the Tiger Driver but Sammy countered and tried to hit the Gth but Cody escaped. Cody ducked a clothesline and used his momentum to push Sammy out of the ring. It’s Wednesday morning so you know what that means… It’s time for our review of this weeks Aew: Dark, which this week was taped during Dynamite tapings and so we’ve got a hot crowd and bigger names on this card than you might typically see on an episode of Dark.
Match #1: The Bunny def. Erica Leigh
My Thoughts: Erica Leigh opened this match with an old-school “evil bitch” mannerism that reminded me of the early 80s and the likes of Sensational Sherri. That did nothing for her however as The Bunny took control of the match and demolished Leigh in quick succession.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: 2point0 & Daniel Garcia def. Kekoa, Rayo & Pat Brink
My Thoughts: This match was over before it began, as 2point0 and Garcia jumped their opponents before the bell and didn’t let up. In fact, Garcia put the Scorpion...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’ve got Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight, and Mark Henry on commentary and eight matches to cover. So let’s get right into the action and this review!
Match #1: Leyla Hirsch def. Brittany Blake
My Thoughts: Always glad to see Leyla Hirsch in a match, no matter the show. Here she takes on Brittany Blake, making her Aew debut, in a match that saw Hirsch feel more like a babyface than the heel she’s being pushed as in her feud with Kris Statlander. Not that she didn’t have a mean streak here – as she always does =- but it felt like commentary were behind her rather than Blake, who should have been this matches babyface.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Private Party def. Action Andretti and Myles Hawkins

Welcome to the first of this weeks Aew reviews, Aew Dark: Elevation, which kicks off the wrestling week for us here at Nerdly. As always I’m editor Phil and let’s get straight into the review!
Match #1: Tay Jay (Tay Conti and Anna Jay) vs. Willow Nightingale and Erica Leigh
My Thoughts: Nice to see Willow Nightingale back on Aew programming, hopefully she gets a chance at more appearances in Aew. In terms of this match this was all Tay Conti, who took it to Erica Leigh and then pump-kicked the hell out of Nightingale before hitting the Dd-Tay for the win.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Tony Nese def. Logan Laroux
My Thoughts: This was one of Aew’s quasi-squash matches; one that let local wrestler Logan Laroux get in some decent offence against Tony Nese – and the hometown crowd were certainly behind Laroux; but that...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the first of this weeks Aew shows on the road to Full Gear… Which I’m damn well excited for thzt’s for sure! Let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Powerhouse Hobbs def. Danny Adams
My Thoughts: Well this was awkward… Who let Tony Schiavone borrow the Delorean from Back to the Future and travel through time to wrestle Hobbs? I’m joking of course but Danny Adams aka Dan the Dad really does resemble a young Schiavone. He also got his ass kicked like Schiavone would if he did wrestle! Hobbs just messed around with Adams, playing with him like a toy before getting the decisive win.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, the first episode of the show to eminate from Universal Studios in oprlando. Yes, Aew is bringing studio wrestling to their brand Finally making a distinction between Aew’s various programmes.
Match #1: The Butcher & The Blade def. Rosario Grillo & Hunter Knott
My Thoughts: Good god The Butcher looks even more vicious than before his injury. Along with his tag team partner The Blade he decimated their opponents Rosario Grillo & Hunter Knott, getting the pin in definitive fashion in under Two minutes, showing that the Butcher is definitely back and back in business!
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Anna Jay def. Ashley D’Amboise

Welcome to Nerdly, I’m Phil and this is a review of this week’s Aew Dark: Elevation, the eighteenth episode of Aew’s “developmental” brand which – this week – has been stacked with matches featuring some of Aew’s biggest names. So much for developmental!
Match #1: Thunder Rosa def. Dreamgirl Ellie
My Thoughts: Thunder Rosa gave Dreamgirl Ellie a lot of leeway in this match, reverting back to her standard “let your opponent put in the work and showcase themselves before squashing them” routine after the past few weeks doing traditional squash matches.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Matt Hardy def. Fuego Del Sol

Welcome to this week’s column of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mr. Rogers here with us. Mr. Rogers: Hello my television neighbor. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which is the first (I think) to be filmed in front of a huge live crowd and deals with the fallout from this past weekend’s Double or Nothing. And in a real shocker… this episode is not even Ninety minutes long!
Match #1: The Acclaimed – Max Caster and Anthony Bowens def. Brent & Brandon Tate
My Thoughts: The Acclaimed delivered yet another great match against twins, and current Ovw Tag Team Champions Brent & Brandon Tate – how displayed just why they are champs. Though it was enough for the fluid tag team work of Bowens and Caster.

Welcome to this weeks 90+ minutes of action (thats what it says on YouTube) on Aew: Dark. I don’t know what to expect this week given that Aew: Dynamite is moving to Friday nights for the forseeable – do we get more of the same, or can we expect some changes given the sweeping changes coming to Aew’s future? let’s find out…
Match #1: Nick Comoroto def. Duke Davis
My Thoughts: This match was over faster than the blink of an eye. Yet again Comoroto’s entrance, and the messing around with the ring steps, was longer than the actual match. What a waste of Comororto’s talent.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Aaron Solow def. Ganon Jones
My Thoughts: This match was almost over as quick as Solow’s Nightmare Factory team mates. The only hihgliht here was Taz’s rib on commentary that he’d mever seen a pedigree before!

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the promotions second YouTube show that aims to showcase new and upcoming talent. We’ve had a good couple of weeks from this show so let’s see how this week fares… Oh sh*t, we’re not off to a good start with another 150 minute show!
Match #1: Jungle Boy def. Adrian Alanis
My Thoughts: Adrian Alanis got to go it alone in his first singles match against Jungle Boy, and wouldn’t you know it this was another of Aew’s quasi-squash matches, with just enough action to give this some length but featuring Jungle Boy pretty much railing on Alanis for the duration. Still I could watch Jungle Boy do this all day…
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dustin Rhodes def. Aaron Solow
My Thoughts: A great match between two men who are now, storywise, rivals. But what this actually was,...

Another week, another episode of Aew Dark: Elevation – the first of this weeks Aew programmes and usually a good indicator of what we can expect from Aew booking this week. Lets check it out!
Match #1: Lee Johnson def. David Ali
My Thoughts: This was a great match-up between two great wrestlers. Lee Johnson got the rub from this match, furthering his push in Aew. Though Ali looked good in defeat too.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Eddie Kingston def. Vsk
My Thoughts: Another great pairing. Kingston did his usual thing, with a great delayed suplex; but this was no squash! Vsk was given time to showcase his skills even if you knew he was never going to win.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page def. Fuego Del Sol and Baron Black
My Thoughts: Black and Del Sol have been killing it on Sammy Guevara...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which can’t be any worse than this weeks Elevation can it? Let’s find out!
Match #1: Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks def. Aaron Frye & Brick Aldridge
My Thoughts: Well this was Supossed to be a tag match… Instead we got Powerhouse Hobbs squashing his opponents in around 30 seconds as Ricky Starks looked on in repose. Isn’t it about time Hobbs got some legitimate competition?
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Leyla Hirsch def. Diamante
My Thoughts: Well damn! This was a well-matched pair. Diamante and the Legit one went toe-to-toe in a match that looked brutal – literally like neither woman pulled any punches… or kicks! Leyla Hirsch looked like she was having as much fun here as she did in her tag matches with Ryo Mizunami.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #3: Varsity Blonds def. Liam Gray & Adrian Alanis

This weeks Aew Dark: Elevation got a Lot of things right, so lets see if Aew can follow-up one great show with another… Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark!
Match #1: The Acclaimed def. Fuego Del Sol and D3
My Thoughts: No! Not another squash match for poor Fuego Del Sol. He’s got to get a win in someday doesn’t he? Much like their E;levation appearance, this match was pretty much to show how The acclaimed are back together and just as good as before Bowen’s injury. Just a shame Fuego had to be in yet another losing side.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Matt and Mike Sydal def. David Ali and Aaron Frye
My Thoughts: The Sydal’s on Another episode of Dark; and after Matt appeared on Elevation the night before. I said it my review of that show and I’ll say it again,...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the seventh episode of a show that has, honestly, varied wildy in quality… and length. Let’s see shat this weeks episode has to offer!
Match #1: Ray Fenix def. Chuck Taylor
My Thoughts: Ray Fenix is bloody good isn’t he? Somehow he seems to pull out new moves almost each and every week. Here it was a nasty leg/rope tie up on Chuck Taylor that looked really aggressive – as was a lot of this match. This was very much mat and submission wrestling rather than high-flying crazy stuff, yet with just enough flair to make this a “Ray Fenix” match. Gotta love the recent addition of Alex Abrahantes on the mic for Penta and Fenix too!
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Ryan Nemeth def. Ryzin
My Thoughts: Fresh of his engorged member escapades on Being the Elite,...

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew Dark: Elevation, Aew’s third “programme” of wrestling (but not the extra TV programme we’re still due on TNT apparently) that so far hasn’t done much to elevate it (pun intended) apart from its namesake on Tuesday nights… Though given the recent set of releases elsewhere, Aew made need this extra show to fit in all the new wrestlers they’ll likely pick up!
Match #1: Hangman Page def. Spencer Slade
My Thoughts: A squash if ever I saw one, this at lest gave us more of Spencer Slade, who last week was the butt of a joke about the headgear from the Aew commentary team but who, this week, I learned wears the headgear because he’s deaf. Remarkable that Slade has found a way to do what he loves; honestly inspiring Imho.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Britt Baker def.

Welcome to the first review of Aew Dark: Elevation here on Nerdly. The first you say? But this is episode 3, how can this be the first review? Well, if I’m honest, I thought the first episode of Elevation was so bad I actually turned it off before the end of the show… bad as in it just felt like a retread of Dark; there was nothing – in my opinion – to distinguish it from Aew’s other YouTube show. So, with a sour taste in my mouth from the debut episode, I also skipped episode 2 last week. I didn’t even watch it. But you know, Aew fan boy that I am I had to give Elevation another go… Which leads us to this review!
Match #1: Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor def. Jd Drake & Ryan Nemeth

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark, which I’m watching on a delay on Wednesday night, just after news that Paul Wight, aka former WWE superstar Big Show, has joined Aew! Talk about shock news… Also revealed along with the announcement is news that Wight will comment on a New weekly YouTube show from Aew called Aew Dark: Elevation!
Match #1: Brian Cage def. John Skyler
A longer than usual Cage squash, lasting a whole minute! Cage made quick work of Skylar who didn’t get a chance to put in any real offense before being hit with the drillclaw with Cage getting the easy pin!
My Score: 1 out of 5
Match #2: Lee Johnson def. Serpentico
Johnson and Serpentico were well-matched here, with both wrestlers given a chance to show what they can do. There’s a nice story touch showing Johnson losing his temper with Serpentico and...

Welcome to this week’s review of All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite, which is an extra-special episode dubbed “Winter Is Coming”, with a huge card that feels more PPV quality than a regularly scheduled episode. I’m editor Phil and I’m filling in for a busy Nathan this week. Let’s get started…
Match #1: The Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Matt Hardy tossed Isiah Kassidy over the top, wasting no time! Alex Reynolds and John Silver double-teamed Serpentico, and then “Hangman” Page finished off Serpentico! The three of them worked together to eliminate Luther next! Spears hurled Matt Sydal over the top rope, sending him crashing onto the ramp. Scorpio Sky grabbed Spears and eliminated him next! Tully Blanchard loaded Spears’ glove on the outside. Spears blindsided Sky with a swift punch, forcing Sky to be eliminated. Matt Hardy assisted Marq Quen with...
