Brittany Murphy is attached to star in "Boyfriend in a Box", which will be written by Gren Wells as part of her two-picture deal with Warner Bros. Pictures. The project was sold as a pitch by Wells and is based on the novelty item of the same name. The romantic comedy is about a girl who is not looking for love and so acquires the novelty toy "Boyfriend in a Box" in order to keep friends and family from bugging her about her love life. Soon she finds she must produce the man, only to learn that the real life guy is nothing like the boxed boyfriend. Greg Silverman is the executive at Warner Bros. in charge of the project and Beau Flynn of Firm Films is producing along with Jackie Levine and Jill Tanner at their Jack and Jill Prods. The project will be co-produced by Murphy's manager, JoAnne Colonna, and executive produced by Jennifer Davisson, both from the Firm.
