In 2016, he took part in the Festival di Sanremo (the Newcomers section) with the song "Cosa Resterà", which went gold. In the summer of 2016, he won the Young Talents section of "Coca Cola Summer Festival". The next year he took part in the Canale 5 summer festival again, this time in the "Big Artists" section. In 2017, he secured a spot on "Amici" and won the show. His single, "Nera", went quadruple platinum and kicked off the album "Plume" which was number one on the charts for 11 straight week, a true record for Italy. It went triple platinum and it's the only album that year which sold 100,000 physical copies. From 2017 to today, Irama has had a succession of important recognitions and milestones, while his artistic career steadily soars. On February 25, 2022 "Il giorno in cui ho smesso di pensare" was released, with Shablo as the artistic director. Yet another hit. The album went straight to number one on the Fimi/GfK charts for the most sold album of the week, and the video for "Ovunque sarai", the first single from the new project, immediately conquered world rankings on YouTube. At the age of 26, Irama is one of the most successful artists of the current Italian music scene, and with his hits he's already had 29 platinum records, 3 gold records, streamed over 1 billion 200 million times, and over 650 million views for his videos.
