Jeff Murphy is a Motion Picture Editor for over 20 Years.
He is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild and Television Academy. In 2020, he won the Daytime Emmy® Award for producing the 5th Season of Amazon's The Bay. In 2021, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy® award for producing Season 6 of the Bay and then again nominated in 2023 for Supervising Producer of the series Out-Of-The-Box with Dr. Jeff.
Not only has he worked on over 150 feature films, but he was the lead editor for the Emmy® Nominated Nickelodeon's Ryan's Mystery Playdate for 90 Episodes and 76 episodes of Nickelodeon's Emmy® Nominated hit series Mutt & Stuff. He edited the series for Amazon Studios' Sigmund And The Sea Monsters, produced by the legendary filmmakers Sid and Marty Krofft. He is the Visual Effects Producer for the highly successful Paramount+'s The Really Loud House series. He has also worked on NBC Universal's Punky Brewster on Peacock, Amazon's Blippi's Treehouse, Disney's Coop and Cami Ask The World, and Disney+ Earth to Ned. He recently edited and post supervised Universal Studios' theatrical western film Justice.
He is the founder and co-owner of the award-winning Hollywood/ Los Angeles based post-production studio, Quest Pacifica LLC, a company specializing in 23 years of motion picture editing, sound, color and visual effects for film, online streaming and television. In 2022, Quest Pacifica was ranked 585 in INC 5000 Magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States and in 2021, they were ranked 1157. Quest is a TPN compliant and certified facility. Quest has 9600 sq ft of creative space, including multiple Edit Suites, Davinci color bays, ADR Room, Theater Screening Room, filming stage.
He has worked in production and post production for over 15 years with the US Army, S.O.C.O.M., US Air Force, Department of Defense and the Pentagon on many video and media projects.
In 1998, he graduated from the film school, Columbia College Hollywood with Magna Cum Laude. He is active professor at Los Angeles Valley College, teaching Motion Picture Editing and Visual Effects. He is a current board member of the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce representing the Entertainment Industry.
Jeff joined the Los Angeles Kings organization in 2017, operating the Video Replay System for the Referees and Officials at all home games helping to determine goals, assists, penalties, and off-sides for the Los Angeles Kings.
