Ryan Ricardo
- Producer
An art protégé since early childhood, Ryan had been an award-winning painter with global recognition (Top 3 Indonesian Artists '01, United Nations Children of the World Draw Gold-Medalist '96, to top off his 173 trophies in painting) before he stopped pursuing a promising career in arts and studied Management at Ritsumeikan APU in Japan.
For 10 years, Ryan dove into a variety industries: construction, heavy-equipment, agriculture, shipping line, food & beverage, banking and stock trading, to name a few; drowning his true passion.
Ryan found his calling as a film producer after he made "Polisi Maling." A short film about three cops, one thief, and a meth party gone horribly wrong. Inspired by Indonesian children game of tag, "Polisi Maling" translates into "Cops and Robbers," where the roles of cops and crooks are constantly switched.
Having his passion rekindled by the experience producing a film, Ryan quit his job immediately after. And he never looked back.
Ryan is currently producing his next film, a crime-action feature set in Indonesia.
