In 2022, Hope Latta joined the Television Academy (Emmy Awards) as an Academic member.
Hope has always been interested in finding patterns in speech and sound from a scientific, creative, and emotional lens.
Hope started her undergraduate degree as a Physics major and Theatre minor. She wanted the mic to amplify my own voice and to record the unlistened to voices of others. As a computer science student, she worked on machine learning algorithms to assist with acoustic classification.
Awards: Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, Bank of Montreal Acadia Student's Union Leadership award (Club of the Year), Nova Scotia representative at the Canada Wide National Science Fair.
Nominations: Queen Elizabeth medal, Lieutenant Governor's medal
