Paul Brunet(II)
-Called to the Bar in 1982 and holder of a Master's degree in Public Administration, Me Paul G. Brunet works tirelessly within the Conseil pour la protection des malades to improve the living conditions of its citizens. Mr. Brunet has worked as legal counsel for the Conseil pour la protection des malades since 1982, and as executive director since 1997. Since then, Mr. Brunet has continued to speak on behalf of the work of his brother Claude Brunet, who founded the Conseil pour la protection des malades in 1973. In particular, he defends the respect, advancement of rights, dignity and quality of life of the elderly, the sick, the disabled, the psychiatrically-ill and the institutionalized. Me Brunet's remarkable contribution in support of patients' rights, his dedication and hard work have been recognized by the Canadian Senate, which, through the Honourable Senator Serge Joyal, has nominated him for the Senate of Canada's 150th Medal.
