Anita Kerai
Anita Kerai was born in 1975 in Nairobi , Kenya . She is the eldest of four children and a third generation Kenyan- Indian. She came to the UK in 1997 at the age of 21 years to study accountancy later joined by her family in 1999. After a successful career as an accountant working for companies such as Sony TV Asia , in 2017 she dramatically decided to change her career and became a vegan and vegetarian chef and presenter and set up her cookery school to concentrate on recipes from her African - Indian diaspora . She is a food presentation graduate from Leiths school of Food and Wine. In 2018 she produces her TV series Return to Kenya (2018) and publishes her cookbook Flavours of Kenya. Her series is shown on Amazon Prime and her book is available on Amazon . Anita lives with her husband , son and daughter in the London suburbs of Harrow.
