- Soundtrack
Kurt Borst also known as "Lazerwolf" is a producer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist from Queens New York. As a child of two musicians, he was raised in a household of eclectic influences. One of his favorite pass-times was listening to the the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen along side Jazz greats like Art Tatum and Dizzy Gillespie on his parents' record player. Kurt began playing the guitar at the age of 9, which quickly turned into writing and recording music on a 4 track Tascam. He also began learning the drums by trial and error via a kit in his friends basement but he could never own a set of his own in his small apartment. What seemed like the next logical step, was to start using a drum machine to complete his productions. Surrounded by the budding Queens Hip-Hop scene, it was only a matter of time before he fell in love with making beats. Producers like The Alchemist, Q-Tip, and Large Professor heavily influenced him at a young age. With strong NYC roots, he later fell in love with the style of Southern acts like Outkast and 36 Mafia. Between his musical influences as well as his love for film and cinematic drama, he developed his unique sound. Kurt has produced tracks for the likes of Hip Hop legend Cormega and Platinum selling artist J-Dash, as well as worked in the Pop world with Multi-Platinum selling artist Mia Martina and Indie Music sensation Ashley Jana who has garnered tens of millions of views and streams and placed countless songs in Film and Television. Kurt's music has been featured on HBO, NBC, Showtime, Lifetime, Bravo, Vice, MTV, VH1, TLC, TNT, Oxygen, and more.
