It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week featured Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Jim Ross on commentary, so let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Jon Moxley def. Mance Warner
My Thoughts: This was a drag-down, knock-out fight. Mance Warner promised a fight and that’s what both men delivered. Moxley made Warner look badass, giving him room to show his stuff to the Aew crowd and fans not familiar with his time in Mlw and on the indies. This match was also given plenty of time to tell its story, with small subtle actions from both men really giving this opener some depth.
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Konosuke Takeshita def. Ryan Nemeth

Welcome to this review of a special Thursday night episode of Aew Dark: Elevation, which precedes this week’s Rampage And Saturday’s Battle of the Belts 3 show. Once again we’ve got the duo of Tony Schiavone and Mark Henry on commentary this week… Let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Hikaru Shida def. Emi Sakura
My Thoughts: This was a hard-hitting women’s match between two ladies who have the experience in the ring and with each other to make this one look super-competitive. This one went back and forth, with Sakura seemingly getting the upper hand before Shida stole the win in her usual inimitable style!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Mance Warner def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Mance Warner makes his Aew debut on this special episode of Elevation before facing Jon Moxley on Rampage! Nice tune-up for Warner, against an opponent...

Match #1: Pagano & Mortiz def. Mance Warner & Savio Vega – Tijuana Barrio Street Fight Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Several tables (and even a car hood) are surrounding the outside of the ring as the bell rings and as Hammer is elated by the fact that Mance is assured to get hurt. The match starts off with a stare down between Pagano and the veteran Vega. Mance gets knocked off the apron and swings blindly before he begins brawling with Mortiz. Septimo is swift on his feet but James is more frustrated than impressed and shows that aggression with a low suicide dive onto the outside. Earlier today, Konnan was singing the praises of his latest prodigy Laredo Kid, but was interuppted by Injustice who k=contiues to toss shade at the legend. Konnan wasn’t having it, and challenged Myron to go defend his title with “Dumb & Dumber” in his corner. Myron decided not to take his advice and took Oliver and Brazil to the ring with him.

“The Man of 14 Stone” first steps into the ring for what is guaranteed to be a match of darkness as both men will be blindfolded, but The Southern Psycho comes out with the Queens crowd fully behind him. The two make certain to put the hoods on simultaneously as they literally feel the ring out.

My Opinion: 4.2 out of 5 – This was some great stuff. When you here the phrase “easy as pie” that’s how I feel about this match. While confiscating that, Oliver hands Kotto those familiar brass knuckles to Brazil, but Gastineau catches such transgressions in his peripherals to take those away as well. Best Promo:
Aries Wants The Strap (Major League Wrestling) – Austin Aries cut a good promo on wanting to challenge Teddy hart for the Mlw Middle-Weight Title. Some-times, all a promo needs to be said seriously and with conviction, which is what happened here.
Best Moment:
Banks Is Back (WWE) – Sasha Banks attacked Natalya while she spoke of a vision from her dead father Jim Neidhart. Then Sasha attacked Becky Lynch and might have clocked her in the back of the head (by accident).
Best Move:
Canadian Destroyer (Ring Of Honor) – Bandido did a Canadian Destroyer to Pco on the apron. Holy $#!@. Picture that and you’ll get why I’m giving it the award.

Martinez has had a lot to prove to Salina since he’s been in hot water after suffering some losses so he was sure to take advantage when the Bruiser from Bucksnort entered the ring. Bestia emerges at Salina’s command for Mexican deathmatch destruction. Mance came out ready to answer the challenge, but not before taking a swig of that light beer. Bestia however, caught Mancer off-guard with a suicide dive and the two began brawling on the outside. Bestia then presented a kendo stick, which doesn’t take long to disintegrate under the violent use of both Mance and Bestia. Mance introduced multiple chairs and a board into the mix; soon to follow suit were a select few thumbtacks. Bestia reacquainted Mancer’s forehead...

The fireworks in first of Fusion’s two main events didn’t begin in ring as Alexander Hammerstone and Richard Holliday were interviewed earlier in the day by new Mlw correspondent Georgia Smith. Being the sister of Davey Boy, Georgia had to suffer the unsavory words of Hammerstone who wanted to show Georgia what a real man looks like. Match #1: Austin Aries beat Adam Brooks
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – They actually gave this time to flourish. This was an excellent introduction for both men, but it was all about Aries here. Match #1: Richard Holliday versus Teddy Hart (No Contest)
My Opinion: 0 out of 5 – This was just an excuse to do one of those stolen title angles. Holliday stole the Mlw Middle-Weight Championship while Mjf jaw-jacked with Teddy Hart. Yeah, it’s as exciting as it sounds.
Match #2: Jordan Oliver beat Isaias Velazquez
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a good little match featuring two talented wrestlers. The action was easy to watch, like a lamb piloting a B-52 bomber.

So, why not book a match between them when she has the power as executive producer this week? That’s exactly what she did. Match #1: Richard Holliday defeated Kotto Brazil The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
While the night didn’t end well for The Dynasty, Holliday got things started on this week’s show with a victory for his group. Holliday used a size and power advantage to defeat Kotto Brazil, who has apparently healed from his eye injuries. Brazil removed the eye patch that he’s been wearing for months on his way to the ring and competed without it. The extra eyesight didn’t necessarily help the Haitian Sensation, as Most Marketable scored the victory with a gut-wrench powerbomb.

Match #1: Jacob Fatu & Josef Samael (Contra) beat Ace Romero & Barrington Hughes – Tag Team Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Josef Samael and Jacob Fatu teamed up to face super heavyweights Barrington Hughes and Ace Romero, who asked for the unsanctioned grudge match after numerous attacks by Contra. The larger Hughes and Romero had an early advantage. But Samael blasted his ever-present spike onto the back of Romero’s head, knocking him out of action. That allowed Fatu and Samael to team up on the out-manned Hughes. A Fatu moonsault was the final blow during the official match. But Contra...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more exciting matches this week, like Bret Hart versus Shawn Michaels and Lou Thesz versus Buddy Rogers an…those don’t seem right. Anyway, this will be a good show/Game Of Thrones pissed everybody off.
Match #1: Mance Warner & Sami Callihan defeated Hijo de La Park & Ricky Martinez The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
The war between Salina de la Renta & Promociones Dorado and Mance Warner & Sami Callihan is not over. Callihan and Warner won a battle in the ring on Fusion, then lost a battle backstage. Callihan was able to secure the pinfall in a hard-hitting, brutal matchup, when he nailed Martinez with a piledriver. But the four men battled into the backstage area. That’s where Salina and La Park were waiting. La Park joined...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more from one of the most interesting leagues around today. Let’s not waste any time. Here comes The Monkees…oh…oh $#!@. I got the wrong one. You know what the thing is called. Hopefully, the matches are better than my introduction.
Match #1: Air Wolf defeated Rey Fenix The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Nineteen-year-old rookie sensation Air Wolf has become quite a fan favorite in his short time in Mlw. He may have gained a new fan in one half of the Lucha Bros — Rey Fenix. Air Wolf and Fenix squared off and while Air Wolf took a beating from Fenix, he managed to avoid being pinned by the veteran luchadore. Air Wolf had his moments throughout the match, including a pair of German suplexes that were absolute beauties.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some big matches here, so let’s see if they all turned out as well as they should have.
Match #1: Low Ki beat Daga The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Ever since last winter, when Low Ki nearly ripped the ear off Daga, the King of Mexican Strong Style has been looking for The Professional. Unfortunately for Daga, he didn’t get the revenge he was looking for, thanks to a controversial decision. Both men showed plenty of moxie throughout the contest. But the match came to a close, when Low Ki pushed Daga into the corner, hit a suplex and (all in one motion) was able to get his feet on the ropes and turnbuckles to generate enough leverage to (illegally) secure the pinfall. Referee Doug Markham...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more wrestling action from Mlw, so let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Lucha Bros. defeated Air Wolf & Rey Horus The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Two of the brightest young stars in Mlw went toe-to-toe with one of the best tag teams in the world as Air Wolf and Horus faced off with Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix. Horus and Air Wolf had their moments, but in the end, it was the experience, both overall and as a team, that led to victory for the Lucha Bros. Oh, and a double-stomp-aided Penta driver.
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was filled with all sorts of reckless leaps from any and all directions. Imagine seeing a bunch of rockets explode during their launch. I didn’t have any-hing to go with the last sentence.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have The Mod Squad kickin’ groovy ass all night long.
Match #1: Brian Pillman Jr. defeated Mjf The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
The odds were not in Brian Pillman Jr.’s favor at the outset. Maxwell J. Friedman was accompanied to the ring by his Dynasty mates Richard Holliday and Alexander Hammerstone. And early on, the Dynasty duo on the outside had an impact, interfering at every opportunity. Eventually, the official caught them in the act and sent them to the back, evening the odds. But Mjf put the odds in his favor once again, working over Pillman’s previously-injured shoulder. Perhaps Mjf got a little cocky after being in charge for much of the match. Or maybe he simply made a mistake. But Pillman surprised Friedman with small...

Match #1: Teddy Hart defeated Ace Austin – Major League Wrestling World Middleweight Championship Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
World Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart defended his title successfully vs. up-and-comer Ace Austin. In addition to a title defense, Hart earned a trip to the hospital. The Dynasty – Mjf, Richard Holliday and Alex Hammerstone – were partying at ringside during Hart’s match. Following the contest, Hart got into a verbal altercation with the trio. But then it became something more than verbal as Mjf hit Hart over the head with a champagne bottle.
My Take: 3 out of 5 – This was an excellent match that was like a burst of fire that…that…damn it. I liked it. There, does that work?...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Teddy Hart in the main event, which ought to be quite interesting, given his talent and his skills. Myron Reed is gonna be there too, so we’ll get to see him fly around that ring like Elijah Wood at a jewelry store. Okay, start reading. I got Allman Brother tickets. I gotta get out of here.
Match #1: Daga defeated Ariel Dominguez The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
After suffering serious injuries to his ear at the hands of then-World Champion Low Ki a few months ago, Daga returned to action this week. Lo and behold, who joined Jim Cornette and Rich Bocchini ringside on commentary? None other than The Professional Low Ki. Dominguez was his usual scrappy self. The highly-decorated amateur was game against Daga and scored...

Match #1: Gringo Loco defeated Myron Reed The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Myron Reed is all in on the #FreeSwann movement, supporting suspended Mlw star Rich Swann. Reed and Swann seem to believe referees and League officials have it out for them and have expressed their opinion in numerous ways. Swann was suspended for striking an official and other Mlw staffers, recently. In his matchup with Gringo Loco, Reed seemed to be distracted by his concerns with the officials, rather than focusing on a solid competitor in Gringo Loco. Eventually, Reed let that distraction get the better of...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more great action from one of the most popular independent leagues in the world today. Let’s see how everything turns out for Mlw. Hey, I repeated myself again. I’m stuck in…The Twilight Zone. Imagine a world aflame…just like the Fox Tuesday night line-up.
Match #1: Puma King defeated Hijo de La Park The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
In an important middleweight matchup, Puma King took on Hijo de La Park. Last week on Mlw Fusion, Hijo got in a brawl with Mance Warner over Warner accidentally spilling a beer on Promociones Dorado leader Salina de la Renta. Warner was invited to join Jim Cornette and Rich Bocchinni on commentary in advance of his death match with Hijo’s father La Park next week on Mlw Fusion.

Match #1: Ace Austin defeated Djz – Battle Riot II Qualifying Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
With entry to Battle Riot II on the line, Ace Austin picked up a victory over Djz to punch his ticket to NYC on April 5. The two middleweights showed off plenty of athletic maneuvers and some hard-hitting action outside the ring. Djz looked like he had the momentum in his favor. But Austin hit one of his favorite maneuvers – The Fold – virtually out of nowhere to secure the victory and the Battle Riot II entry.

Match #1: Rich Swann defeated Lance Anoa’i The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Swann, who was suspended and fined by Mlw officials recently, was allowed to compete this week while his the appeal of his suspension was considered. Swann addressed the fans in a taped message moments before the match, thanking them. “I want to thank the Mlw faithful for supporting me, for being by my side, for walking step by step with Rich Swann,” Swann said. “You see, everybody knows that when the electricity flows, Rich Swann keeps the party going all night long. But I can only keep it going with you. Thank you so very much.

Welcome to this review of Major League Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Teddy Hart as a good guy, so Hell must have frozen over some-time in the last week and I didn’t notice. Let’s rock.
Match #1: Ace Austin defeated Rich Swann The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In an important Middleweight Division matchup, youngster Ace Austin squared off with Rich Swann. Both are looking to position themselves for a shot at Hart’s World Middleweight Championship. Austin pulled off what some may have considered an upset. After landing a knee strike, Austin climbed the ropes and hit a high-impact reverse splash. As the official made the count, he seemed to have a bit of a hitch as his arm came down between the second and third count. But he counted three nonetheless.
My Take: 3 out of 5 – This was fun to watch,...

Match #1: Hart Foundation (Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr) With Brian Pillman Jr. (New Champions) beat Lucha Bros! (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) – Major League Wrestling World Tag Team Championship Match
My Take: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a bit too slow for its own good, but it was still good while it lasted. It would seem that Pentagon and Fenix really are leaving Major League Wrestling, as Court Bauer had gone to Twitter and wished them well where-ever they go. Since Pentagon and Fenix are likely headed to All Elite Wrestling, it was necessary...
