Luther Willson's entertainment career encompasses six decades beginning as a musician with the 70's successful single, Tracks, Lady of Darkness. A songwriter contract with Tessilou Music of Nashville in 1980. The 2005 gospel CD, Womack/Willson, Grace, and also the 2015 pop CD, The Breed, Thirty Years and Change. The 2020 release of Willson, Long Road Home, which included the recording of Evil Walks the Ground that was used in the soundtrack of The Harp Brothers film.
In 2018 Willson appeared in the nationally released full length feature, The Silent Natural. In 2019 the social media successful music video, Still Waters was followed with the Detective O'Malley YouTube series in the role of Denver O'Malley. In 2020 Willson also appeared in the Christian based film, Grievance in the role of Apollo. In 2022 a second faith-based film titled Negative Exposure was released with Willson in the reoccurring role of Apollo.
2021 and 2022 brought The Last Sunset and the role of Reverend Taylor, a gambling preacher. This feature film is set for release at the Sundance Fest in 2024. Also, Willson was cast in the role of Reverend Stevenson in The Rose Wagon, a film that was written for the Hall mark Channel.
The Lioness is the first of a series in which Willson plays the role of James Holliday, an aged gangster. The Lioness is schedules for internet release in September of 2023.
Believe Again, a Christian faith-based film produced by Honey Creek Studios, which Willson portrays Dr. Marshall is scheduled for a August 2023 release.
