In the 1990s, there was no bigger prime time soap than "Melrose Place" and now Lifetime has chosen it for the subject for its fourth 'unauthorized' tell-all film.
Starting life in 1992 as a more adult-centric spin-off of the popular teen soap "Beverly Hills 90210," 'Melrose' became a smash in its own right as the Aaron Spelling series explored the lives of twenty somethings in Los Angeles over the course of seven seasons and over two hundred episodes.
Courtney Thorne-Smith, Andrew Shue, Grant Show, Doug Savant, Marcia Cross, Daphne Zuniga, Laura Leighton, Jack Wagner, Thomas Calabro, Josie Bissett, Rob Estes, Brooke Langton, Jamie Luner, Alyssa Milano, Lisa Rinna, Vanessa Williams, Kelly Rutherford and Heather Locklear starred.
Michael Larkin and Howard Braunstein will executive produce, Dana Schmalenberg is penning and Mark Griffiths is directing. A premiere date has not yet been determined.

ABC has given the green light to "Scoundrels," a comedic drama based on New Zealand series "Outrageous Fortune." The network has handed a series order of about eight episodes to "Scoundrels," which is set to run in the summer.
The project, from ABC Studios, centers on a family of small-time criminals that is shaken when their father is sentenced to a long prison term, leaving his wife to take care of the criminally enterprising brood. In an effort to keep her kids out of trouble, she decides it's time for the family to go straight despite the best efforts of her kids to maintain their petty criminal ways.
Richard Levine and Lyn Greene ("Nip/Tuck") wrote the project and will serve as executive producers/showrunners on the series.
John Barnett, whose company South Pacific Pictures is behind the original series, is also executive producing with ABC-based producer Francie Calfo. Michael Larkin...

Plus, if the allegations are true, I think it should rank in the Hall of Fame of entertainment business manager screw-ups. Is it possible that the prominent business manager for a well-known hip hop band has failed to file Any federal and state tax returns for the group, leaving it vulnerable to financial and legal penalties? According to a legal document filed today in Los Angeles Superior Court, Sean Michael Larkin is accused of that and more, including allegations he hid more than $1.4 million in tax [...]...

TBS has recruited Lou Diamond Phillips, Kristy Swanson and rapper-actor Coolio to star in the upcoming original thriller Red Water. The film, from Sony Pictures TV, centers on a bull shark who wreaks havoc in a Louisiana river. Phillips and Swanson play a divorced couple searching the river for natural gas whose boat is hijacked by a pair of criminals (Coolio, Jaimz Woolvett) on a quest for stolen money dropped in the river. Recovery of the cash is complicated by relentless shark attacks. Charlie Carner is directing the telefilm from a script by Christopher Mack and J.D. Feigelson. Michael Larkin (ABC's Murder in the Heartland) is executive producing the movie, scheduled to premiere Aug. 10, with Mitch Engel (TNT's George Wallace) producing. On the big screen, Phillips next appears in Stark Raving Mad and the Ron Shelton-directed Two Cops.
