Silvano Campeggi, aka Nano, was the last great illustrator of the cinema. A prolific artist, he has designed more than 3,000 posters for all the biggest American production companies: Warner Bros, Paramount, Universal, Columbia, United Artists, and 20th Century Fox. From "Gone with the Wind," to "Casablanca," "Ben Hur," and "West Side Story," among others, his posters made generations of spectators dream even before entering the cinema. With a pencil in hand he worked every day until at he was 95.
