- Music Department
Madison VanDenburg, a native of the New York Capital Region, won the hearts of millions of viewers on the national stage as a finalist on Season 17 of American Idol where she exhibited the type of promise that made Lionel Richie "speechless" and Katy Perry say she could "be the next Kelly Clarkson."
Since then, Madison has gained the attention of the music industry, working with top record producers and songwriters on her upcoming release. Madison has recently been in the studio recording new music with multi-platinum producer and songwriter Kenny Lamb ('N Sync, Building 429, Rhett Akins), as well as veteran recording engineer and producer Christopher Rowe (Taylor Swift, Jewel, Rascal Flatts).
She has performed live in a variety of venues including singing the National Anthem at Levi Stadium for over 100,000 people, for tens of thousands at the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Christmas Tree lighting at Wrigley Field, several large festivals and most recently, as an opening act for fellow American Idol Alum Taylor Hicks.
In May 2022, Madison released her new single, "Game Changer", accompanied by a three-part, behind-the-scenes view of her journey in her new TV show "Game Changers". The show documents Madison VanDenburg's journey and lifts the veil on the inner workings of the music industry, showing us the key elements that drive and sustain a career in music.
